Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Aug 27 → 9.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

⭐ Solo Leveling: ARISE Overdrive — 4/5 Review based on the full story up to the Potion Retrieval Arc, played on Hard difficulty. As a fan of the original manhwa with no prior manhwa-to-game adaptation experience, I came in with a clean slate. What starts as a slightly bumpy, overly forgiving tutorial quickly evolves into a deeply satisfying action RPG once the training wheels finally come off. The Early Hurdles: Chapter 1 My biggest initial gripe is how the game handles Sung Jinwoo's pre-Awakening state. Even on Hard, the opening hours are too trivial. The famous double dungeon "statue" sequence suffers the most—you can tank multiple hits from enemies that should be instantly lethal, which undercuts the terror of the source material. The narrative execution here also feels a bit rushed, particularly with static character models during what should be tense, interactive moments. (Minor bug note: I selected Korean audio, but the game loaded Japanese. Not game-breaking, just amusing!) The Sweet Spot: Chapter 2 & Combat Fortunately, pushing through to Chapter 2 completely flips the script. Once you choose a class, the combat opens up and becomes highly rewarding. The absolute highlight is the parrying system. It's immensely satisfying, if perhaps a bit too generous! Landing a perfect parry has a chance to stun enemies—bosses included—leaving them wide open for a "free game" damage phase. Paired with spectacular special effects, the combat loop transforms from an automated button-masher into something genuinely engaging. Presentation & World The audio-visual presentation is where the game truly flexes: Environmental Design: This takes the cake. Being able to actually explore the manhwa chapters I read is an experience I can't recommend enough to fellow fans. Characters & Audio: The cast is done complete justice, elevated by beautiful voice acting and excellent sound quality. Visual Identity: The animated manhwa-page cutscenes and clean UI translate the source material's aesthetic perfectly. Performance & Storage The game runs flawlessly on an Intel Arc GPU at max settings with no lag spikes. That said, the ~50GB install size is a bit surprising given the reliance on 2D panels and dialogue boxes over full CG sequences. There is definitely room to optimize that footprint. The Grind Problem The game gates story progression behind level requirements, and the grind to meet them is real. I eventually turned to WeMod to push through — not something I'd normally do, but the content available doesn't justify the time investment the game demands. This ties directly into the story feeling unfinished: the game ends at the Potion Retrieval Arc, which isn't a bad stopping point narratively, but the pacing leading up to it feels rushed rather than earned. There's simply not enough story content to pace the grind around. The Weapon Crafting System Disappointingly weak. The system is unnecessarily complicated without feeling rewarding — a strange combination that makes it feel like busywork rather than meaningful progression. For an action RPG where your loadout should feel like an expression of playstyle, this is a missed opportunity. The Gacha Elephant in the Room Despite the absence of an in-game currency microtransaction model, the game carries a strong gacha energy — in its structure, its Hunter roster, and the way progression is designed. Ironically, playing with the Hunters ended up being more engaging than playing as the main character, which raises a genuine design question: was the "single-player with co-op feature" approach the right call for this IP? The Hunter-centric model lends itself so naturally to a gacha format that you can almost see the seams where that design philosophy was retrofitted into something else. I actually prefer not having a gacha, but the weapon system and grind loop suggest the underlying game was built with those hooks in mind regardless. Co-op: Fine, But Dated The co-op mode is functional but old school and basic. The most glaring omission is any form of in-game chat, which makes communication with teammates effectively impossible and kills any chance of organically meeting new people through the game itself. It works well enough if you already know who you're playing with, but as a social feature it falls flat. A Manhwa Reader's Perspective Looking ahead, I hope future updates don't rush the Demon King's Daughter tower arc the way the manhwa did — there's real potential to flesh it out with lasting consequences. And while I wasn't a huge fan of the sequel material focused on Jinwoo's son, it could work well here as a lean 4–6 hour side-story DLC rather than a full sequel focus. Final Verdict: 4/5 Solo Leveling: ARISE Overdrive is a genuinely great action game held back by a grindy progression system, a weapon crafting loop that doesn't deliver, and a story that ends before it feels complete. The combat, world design, and presentation are all excellent — and the Hunters, ironically, are often the most fun to play. If the groundwork here gets expanded with more story content and a tighter progression loop, this could be something special. Catch it on discount around $20 and you won't regret it.
genuinely i do not recommend you buy this game unless it goes on DEEEEEEEP discount. there are bugs in every corner of this game from map cursors disappearing to being locked in place and unable to move after interacting with a menu or stat increases and abilities just not functioning at all. this game should never have left the play testing stage but for the time its been out it has not corrected nearly enough issues. as i have progressed through the game it has gotten exponentially more difficult as well with bosses being able to almost 1 shot me while it will take 10+ min to grind their hp down while im 5 levels over the recomended while having the best gear i can possibly have. its just not worth it.
It's 3am and I'm struggling to sleep. Good thing steam sells melatonin!
