Imagine a Solitaire game where you can't even finish a single game of FreeCell because it becomes unplayable every time you try. And imagine that it is an issue that exists since the first day of release and has never been adressed. Lame, deserves a bad rating, it doesn't even do the minimum required for a game, being playable.

Copy-pasted solitaire game made by somebody who doesn't even play solitaire well enough to know how bad it fails. I thought it was an AI-generated product, but no, some human made it and even got paid for it... On the surface, it's an ok-ish little time-waster; the price is adequate, especially with the discounts, and the music and the visuals are mild and relaxing. However, the implied rules are way more strict than any solitaire I've played, and I've been playing them a lot since before Windows 95 was released. The controls are clunky; the game doesn't count cards and never does anything you'd expect. On the contrary, it'll be framing the cards that you actually don't want to move and will be standing still when you're stuck... So, despite that ritz flair that you see on the promo video, it's one of the worst solitaire games on the market. I wouldn't recommend playing it even as a free game. Mark 2/10.
I didn't think it would be hard to screw up Solitaire. But in my short time with this game, I experienced buggy graphics, slow load times, and distorted music. And as others have pointed out, there's a card selection bug that makes the game unplayable. I'm normally not one to ask for a refund - especially for a trivial amount like $0.99. But the game really was that bad.
Doesnt tell you that you lost. Doesnt have undo button. Loading screen while going to settings is also insane on a damn card game... I think it is hard to screw up solitaire, but these guys made it! :D
After a few minutes of playing, the mouse pointer will no longer pick up the cards when hovering over them. You need to find random spots on the screen to pick them up. I'm sure its a bug that can be resolved, but until then, I don't recommend it to avoid someone else's frustration.
Visually, it's impressive. That's pretty much everything I can say positive about the game. * Screens are slow loading. *The local high-score board doesn't work (the game you've just finished is always the only one on the board.). * For nine consecutive hands, the top card (or two) across all seven rows is black. There's no way that's random. I bought the game because Microsoft now wants me to either watch ads or SUBSCRIBE to a solitaire game I've played since my first PC. This definitely isn't it.
Solitaire, developed by Sanuk Games and published by Nacon, is a straightforward digital adaptation of a timeless card game that prioritizes accessibility and familiarity over reinvention. It does not attempt to redefine what Solitaire is or introduce bold new mechanics; instead, it focuses on presenting a clean, functional version of the classic experience, making it immediately approachable for players of all skill levels. The result is a game that feels comfortable and easy to pick up, though perhaps a bit limited for those seeking something more ambitious. The game includes several well-known Solitaire variants, most notably Klondike, Spider, and FreeCell. Each mode adheres closely to its traditional rules, offering distinct styles of play that cater to different preferences. Klondike emphasizes uncovering hidden cards and building sequences through careful planning, Spider introduces a more complex layering system that requires greater foresight, and FreeCell shifts the focus toward strategic manipulation of open spaces. This variety provides a modest level of depth, allowing players to alternate between modes and experience subtle differences in pacing and difficulty without straying from the core concept. Gameplay remains rooted in the familiar balance between strategy and chance that defines Solitaire. Each round presents a new arrangement of cards, requiring players to adapt their approach and think several moves ahead. While luck plays a role in how a game unfolds, success is largely determined by the player’s ability to recognize patterns, manage limited options, and make efficient decisions. This enduring formula continues to hold up well, offering a relaxing yet mentally engaging experience that can be enjoyed in short sessions or extended play. Presentation is simple but effective, with a selection of visual themes that provide different backdrops for gameplay. Whether set in a calm outdoor environment or a more stylized setting, these themes add a touch of variety without altering the mechanics. The interface is clean and intuitive, with responsive controls that make it easy to move cards, undo actions, and navigate the game. This ease of use is one of the game’s strongest aspects, ensuring that players can focus entirely on the gameplay without being distracted by unnecessary complexity. The inclusion of basic ranking and scoring systems adds a light layer of progression. Players can track their performance based on efficiency and completion time, with leaderboards offering a competitive element for those who enjoy optimizing their play. While these features provide some motivation to improve, they remain relatively simple and do not significantly expand the overall experience. The game is still primarily about the core act of playing Solitaire rather than pursuing long-term progression. However, the game’s simplicity is also its most noticeable limitation. Beyond its selection of classic modes and visual themes, there is little in the way of additional content or innovation. It does not introduce new variations, challenges, or mechanics that might distinguish it from other digital versions of Solitaire. As a result, players who are already familiar with the genre may find the experience somewhat basic, especially when compared to other versions that offer more features or customization. Replayability is largely tied to the inherent nature of Solitaire itself. While the randomized card layouts ensure that no two games are exactly the same, the overall experience remains consistent, which can lead to a sense of repetition over time. For players who enjoy the meditative and routine aspects of Solitaire, this is not necessarily a drawback, but for those seeking variety or progression, it may limit long-term engagement. In the end, Solitaire succeeds as a clean and dependable adaptation of a classic card game. It delivers exactly what it promises: a simple, accessible platform for enjoying a familiar pastime. While it does not stand out in a crowded field or offer significant innovation, it provides a polished and user-friendly experience that remains true to the essence of Solitaire. For players looking for a straightforward way to enjoy the game on PC, it serves its purpose well. Rating: 7/10
listen man. look. I love solitaire as a game as much as the next person, and I do not in fact like the microsoft version of it that's riddled with ads nowadays. but this game is just so... so clunky when it comes to the controls. in multiple modes I have had troubles with my mouse and moving cards around. for a solitaire game that's basically fatal; it doesn't even allow me to enjoy it. and this is coming from someone who doesn't care much about gameplay okay? after that, the advanced spider solitaire is the reason I have TEN HOURS IN THIS GAME. TEN HOURS. it's so hard it makes me tear my hair out and play radiohead in the back to crash out to it. that's not the reason I wouldn't recommend this (me not willing to recommend this is more so based on the fact that I don't think anyone should play solitaire with their KEYBOARD) but it is the reason I have just given up on getting the final achievement. this is a dnf situation. I am simply compelled to share my suffering because I am dramatic and need an outlet. maybe I am simply stupid but a great chunk of the (advanced) spider solitaire is based on having luck in choosing which card you place where and what card lies underneath it. in the other two it's limited to only 1 or 2 suits. now you have all four and your chances of getting a good hand and then making the absolute perfect decisions every time is ass. WHY IS THERE NO UNDO BUTTON FOR SPIDER SOLITAIRE???? WHY????? the other two are so much easier and STILL have an undo button. WHY DOES SPIDER SOLITAIRE NOT HAVE AN UNDO BUTTON PLEASE???? I am losing it oh my god. anyway keep your sanity. choose love. it's cheap but it's not worth it man. turn away!!!!
