Solasta II

Pleasantly surprised. This was way more polished than the original Solasta release which I played through many times, over hundreds of hours, the official DLCs, numerous community homebrewed modules, mods, etc. Solasta 2's single-player is a very smooth play, no crashes (so far), lots of character options, better artwork, far better voice acting, and more interesting writing. I'm looking forward to multiplayer hopefully later this year, so I can play co-op with my kid. Also looking for the full D&D 5.5e experience. Potential buyers beware that the current game is missing most of the standard classes (Barb, Bard, Druid, Monk, Ranger, and Warlock) and species (Aasimar, Dragonborn, Gnome, Goliath, Orc, and Tiefling), which I understand they did to put out a product and start making money. But they need to IMHO "finish the game" quickly before the momentum is lost.

I loved Solasta when it came out so didn't know if solasta ii would be as enjoyable as the first one. I am glad to say that solasta II is as enjoyable as the first one and it has been enhanced by the graphics being alot better. Cant wait for it to be finish so i can spend alot more hours on playing it and finishing it.

Dev's two things - firstly, the movement is so much improved that this is a joy to play over Solasta 1 - almost instinctive movement around the playfield, smooth, and lacking the clunky jank. Just stunned at how well it runs when pushing your clever team around the place. Secondly, please don't try to make this BG4. What you have nailed is excellent - faithful to the 5e system which is smooth, compelling, and spectacular - it is the tactical combat fan's D&D. But I can see the homage even at this early stage in the Shadowheart-like villainess. Really don't want an interpersonal relationship simulator to overshadow (pun intended) the nuts and bolts of dungeon crawling, monster busting and high adventuring. Leave the romance tragics to Larian; give us the Battletech of Fantasy!

played a little, good game waiting for closer to release will buy for rest of the family and lay multiplayer.

I good improvement to be on the first game, even though it's early days. Definitely needs more work, but that's early access for you. I can't wait to see this game develop over the next few months. I would like to see some player made content like in the last game eventually, as I really enjoyed the vast majority of these servings in the first game. Give it a chance I say, the best is obviously yet to come
