About
Created and written by lifelong fans of Pen & Paper RPGs, comes Solasta: Crown of the Magister.
Roll for initiative, take attacks of opportunity, manage player location and the verticality of the battle field. Set yourself up for the finishing strike and possibly roll a natural 20 at that key moment of battle.
In Solasta, you take control of four heroes, each with unique skills that complement one another. Every hero expresses themselves in the adventure, making each action and dialog choice a dynamic part to the story. Players will create their heroes just as they would in a pen-and-paper game by choosing their race, class, personality and rolling for their stats.
You make the choices, dice decide your destiny.
An Epic Team Adventure
Discover the shattered world of Solasta: explore ruins and dungeons for legendary treasures, learn the truth of an age-old cataclysm - and stop it from happening again.
Create your very own party of adventurers with our Character Creation Tool in the classic tabletop RPG tradition. Breathe life into your heroes, and see their personalities reflected in their dialogue. Tailor your squad to your preferred strategy and maximize your party's abilities. The choice is yours.
Discover a Mysterious & Dynamic World
Delve into long forgotten dungeons to unearth ancient artifacts, but stay watchful of light and darkness: many dangers hide in the dark, but a light can attract monsters. Some enemies have darkvision, some may flee from your torch... Successful adventurers will learn to use it to their advantage.
Fight monsters in squad-level, turn-based, tactical combat. Solasta's dynamic environment offers some interesting tactical options. Bridges can collapse, leaving enemies stranded and vulnerable. Walls and columns can be pushed over - on top of your foes, if you do it right. The world is your playground.
Prepare to Think in Three Dimensions
The dungeons in Solasta are more than flat game-boards. Climb, jump, or fly around obstacles. Evade or surprise foes from above or below. Push them into chasms or drop things on their heads. Position yourself on high grounds to start the fight with an advantage.
Size also matters. Escape through narrow passages where bigger enemies won't fit and crawl through tunnels to find secret areas. Take advantage of the environment to find cover suited to your own size. Watch out, though - the monsters are also thinking vertically.
Dungeon Maker
In Solasta, the adventure does not stop after the campaign is over. Unleash your creativity and craft your own dungeons to play and share with friends with the snap of a finger using the in-game Dungeon Maker! From the room layout, monster composition and treasure the party will find – down to the decoration and lighting of each room or the music track playing – everything is decided by you.

Soft recommendation, I was ready to be done after my first playthrough of Crown of the Magister. My party was Cleric, Sorcerer, Paladin and Rogue. Difficulty was the normal level. It's a barebones D&D romp, light on the RPG aspects of the genre. The main story is linear, no choices, no character development. The dialogue is enough that the characters have a little personality, but no deep personal narrative. Side quests are dry but serviceable for leveling rather than story telling. The graphics are passable. The gear and crafting system worked well. It is somewhat restrictive in that, you level up merchant approval to gain access to better items. The loot drops and chests all felt rewarding. However, the best items are limited to 3 per character. The combat is simple and weak for a game like this, My party only died once, very early. The attacks, spells and CC are not fully utilized by the enemies. You could drop half of the spells and they world not be missed. There was never a moment when felt like I was not in total control of the outcome of a fight. For example none of my charaters were ever fightened, charmed, held, or otherwise locked down. I did not encounter elemental or environmental crowd control effects from enemies. The appeal in this game would come from being a big fan of the D&D genre. There is a ton of DLC and player made quests. I can see the appeal of Solasta as a modular D&D game system. I does have some legs for replay and build variety. My only major complaint is the lack of opportunity to respec charater stats at least once. There is also no way to change your character appearance. And, I was wishing for more cosmetic variety for gear. All in all, Solasta: CotM is a good AA game, if you're a D&D fan and pick it up on sale.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Probably the best CRPG in the past ten years, and the only one that I know of that isn't a step-back from the twenty year old Neverwinter Nights 1, gotta respect that.
This is a really enjoyable game - just be sure you don't expect too much from it. The graphics are a little dated, and the writing is... fine, sort of like everyone's first D&D campaign, but the combat and the mechanics behind it make it good fun. It's not at the same level as BG3 (though it was released way beforehand), but if you are looking for a fun little RPG to play, I highly recommend. Some of the classes and races are locked behind DLC, but the base game is perfectly doable on its own. I plan to get the DLCs now and replay/ explore some of the new classes. Overall, I do recommend this game, 7.5/10
great experience with the game
Nice, smooth implementation of D&D 5E mechanics.
