Initially played it back in 2014 when it was relevant. Looking back, it's a blasé little project which went on to ride on the coattails of events from that year. It'd be well-suited to an itch.io project, but not nearly seven euro on steam.
A humorous simulation of arguing with people on the internet, Social Justice Warriors is a marvelous satire, a parody that is at once righteous, educational, and authentic. Social media fisticuffs against hordes of faceless strangers: a bizarre and dehumanizing experience that many would find quite relatable. But is there is a better way? The game poses this question by turning our online cockfighting into game mechanics, providing ample food for thought. It depicts our devious strategies and logical fallacies with wit and flair. The gameplay focuses on flavor, but it doesn't always work well. Some mechanics are left unexplained or secret, and winning is unironically too difficult. For this amount of content, $7.99 is likely too high of a price point. But, I liked Social Justice Warriors, and when it's on sale, I recommend it. Perhaps you will find a better way.
Great idea here, but it's the pure definition of half-baked. The gameplay kinda comes down to a rock-paper-scissors type attack scheme (with some luck modifiers), and a defend option. I had a thought that this was just an excuse for secret-a%%holes to write some really offensive stuff, so I was willing to overlook the benefit of strategic or comedic rebuttals if the edge was funny, so I gave it a chance. The offensive stuff intends to be taken and found humorous, but just comes across like insults from ChatGPT, but in a game from 10 years ago. "Don't like America- MOVE!" kinda stuff. Then you choose rock-paper-scissor, hope for the best, and see what you get. There are crusading interlopers who do random stuff as well, like double your opponent's sanity and reputation, or possibly save you from a crushing defeat of random odds, but because nothing feels really in your control, or that anything you choose really matters outside of choosing to attack their ego or their logic. This game really didn't really tap into either for me, so I'm going to say confidently there's not much to see here, and it's a damn shame. I hope the devs come back to this idea, but take inspiration from games like Papers, Please, and provide us with some honest debate and introspection and manipulation, like in Trolley Problem, Inc.
Purely stupid, not funny even though I thought the concept would be, and could run on an 8 bit Nintendo. Save your money and buy a McDonalds cheeseburger instead, it's better than this game.
Ciekawy pomysł i eksperyment, jednak gameplay i styl graficzny dosyć szybko się powtarza i nudzi. Bazuje on też w większości na losowości i szczęściu. Najchętniej bym dał kciuk w bok, ale się nie da. Za mało treści w proporcji do oryginalnej (8 euro bez centa) ceny.
I only bought this because of the TotalBiscuit video all those years ago its okay

A piss poor RPG where the fighting always makes you lose. I hate this game and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ devs who made this pile of turd so very much. 1) There's no way to restore enough Patience (once called Sanity) and Reputation to keep yourself fighting. If your rep gets too high, the enemy has a "spell" that will drain your rep down to ♥♥♥♥ in one swift move. 2) The Druid is a cuck ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that causes more problems than help. Literally one of the most useless 3) The Necromancer may or may not revive you once. If he does, you will be revived with 1 patience and reputation. just enough to die to your own attacks on the reputation of "the troll". 3) It's a clear satire about online "debates" but the messages are the tired old mantras you hear from all those brainless nitwits on ♥♥♥♥ like CNN and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy "former leftist, now converted to conservatism" YouTube commentators who think they're saying something avant-garde (The trolls aren't wrong though) This game needs to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ itself and stop acting like libtards have it so rough online.
Great concept, poor execution. Fun for 20-30 minutes, until you see most of the dialog. Worth 7$ ? Not even close. Feels like a free gamejam game from itch.io (where it should be, instead of steam).
The gameplay was surprisingly fun, and I the super strong/hero powers in particular when you manage to - it was a refreshing change. I find this game very meaningful in concept. Lots of depths of gameplay to master too for sure - not the kind of game I'd spend many hours on, but I can see why one would.
