It's amusing for a fair bit but it's not much of a game after the point it's trying to make gets driven through the earth and straight into China... then again, engaging trolls isn't much of an enjoyable persuit either.
Bought this game when it was on sale. I also was expecting a lampooning of SJW and Troll culture. I do like the concept of the game but there needs to be playable troll classes. The only lampooning that is going on here is the lampooning of non SJW's. As for the gameplay itself, you do not need to read anythying once you have a basic grasp on what is going on. Both you and the troll have 2 bars, if either reaches zero you lose, or win if either of your opponent's reach zero. Attacks cause damage one or both of the bar (some to your bars as a consequence) in different amounts and you need only see what bar to attack or what bar of yours has become too risky to be expendable. Really, you need not read a thing! your rep is low, use #1 not #2 attack, opponent's rep low. use #3 not #4 = WIN! This game has done very little for me, save getting a few achievements/funny badges and it has only reinforced my opinion that SJWs are mearly trolls that believe they have the moral high ground. PS: This game needs female characters!
Boys this game sucks
Played it for twenty minutes, can't imagine wanting to play it longer than that. Dull and repetitive.
Look at all the trolls in the review section.. :D l like the game, but there seems to be a bug: The cursor is moving around constantly, which makes it difficult to choose a button. I play with keyboard and mouse.
Whatever answers you select you will get destroyed. Nothing makes sense no matter what choices you make. Literally pointless to play, if you can call this a game.
It has no real bugs. It's a solidly built game, that's all it has going for it. However, the gameplay is very shallow, the graphics seem like they took 2 seconds in paint, with no variety to them or a consistent art style. The "story" is non-existent, seemingly having to battle strawman after strawman, with some people being objectively wrong and easy to take down, while others actually seemed to be right despite the game telling me they were evil. I was pleasantly surprised until I realized it wasn't intentional, and that the developer seriously intended this as a piece of social commentary. In conclusion, there's no good reason to play this game. Even if you agree with the developers, it'll just be the same as reading a twitter feed of "you're wrong I'm right stop harassing me".
barely any valuable gameplay, gets boring insanely fast
Funny for 5 Minutes - The Videogame. It's a text-based rogue-like without any gear, levelling, or effective way to refill your life. After 30 minutes, I think I saw every textbox there is to see. The game will always at around the same levels, because while one can refill one's life, the attack in the same round probably takes that bit away again. And I'm not even sure about the message of the game. Is it ridiculing the trolls? Is it for SJWs? Is it ridiculing both? For example: one of the attacks of the trolls is "Ad Hominem". Yet the rogue has an attack which is literally an Ad Hominem. Oversight? Ridiculing contradictory logic? "It's okay if I do it!"? I'm refunding it, seeing how I already played "through" it. It's not even worth the discounted price, and the usual 8 Euros are just ridiculously overpriced. If it gets down to the cent-region, you might think about it. 50 cents is probably what it's worth at most.
Gets really boring after 1 hour, the game relies very heavily on RNG in a bad way, the characters you can use are imbalanced, and it's very lacking in content. "I didn't make this game with grand ambitions of changing the world, but intending to change a few open-minded people's perspectives. It wasn't meant to mock people who have been labeled as 'social justice warriors' nor even the game's opponents, 'trolls'." If what the developer intended was to send a message, more than making a game, he should have made it free at least. I got the game at 80% discount and even then it wasn't worth keeping so I refunded, that's how lacking the game is
