Африканский снайпинг Действие переезжает из руин Берлина в знойную Северную Африку времён Второй мировой. Карл Фэйрберн снова в деле — теперь он должен сорвать планы нацистов по созданию супероружия. Пустыня дарит свежие ощущения: скалистые каньоны, пыльные укрепления и больше простора для манёвра, чем в предыдущих частях. Снайперская механика Стрельба проработана великолепно — именно ради неё сюда и идут. Ветер, дистанция, сердцебиение — всё влияет на полёт пули. Систему сложности можно настроить гибко, превратив игру в хардкорный симулятор или в более казуальный экшен. Фирменные рентгеновские замедленные съёмки, показывающие разрушающиеся кости и органы, никуда не делись — это зрелище всё так же завораживает. Игра для снайпера или диверсанта? Вот тут начинается главный спор. Игра часто превращается не в снайперский симулятор, а в стелс-экшен с упором на пистолет и скрытые убийства. Задания однообразны: убей офицера, уничтожь технику, заминируй объект. Вражеский ИИ оставляет желать лучшего — он то проявляет чудеса внимательности, то тупо стоит на месте и не замечает трупов. Однако в игре есть и тактическая свобода: можно планировать маршруты, маскировать выстрелы шумом работающих генераторов или самолётов, а найденные точки обзора открывают новые возможности. Дополнения «Спасти Черчилля» Сюжет DLC посвящён предотвращению покушения на британского премьера. Вторая часть делает акцент на тесных пространствах и скрытном проникновении — здесь меньше дальних выстрелов и больше стелса в узких каньонах. Третья часть предлагает, наоборот, самую большую локацию в серии и финальную дуэль с немецким снайпером Раубфогелем. Это главное, ради чего стоит брать дополнения, если вы устали от пустыни и хотите более структурированные миссии. Косметические наборы, например камуфляж для оружия, ценны ровно настолько, насколько вам важна раскраска ствола. Итог Плюсы: великолепная баллистика и снайперская стрельба, эффектные замедленные убийства, красивая пустынная атмосфера, тактическая свобода и нелинейные уровни. Минусы: слабый и шаблонный сюжет, не всегда адекватный ИИ, однообразные задания, игра зовётся снайперской, но стелс-диверсии часто важнее дальних выстрелов. Sniper Elite 3 — это тактический стелс-экшен с отличной снайперской механикой и сомнительным балансом жанров. Если вы готовы прощать условности ради эффектных пуль и атмосферы Африки — смело берите. Если ждёте чистого снайперского симулятора — лучше присмотритесь к другим частям серии. 9/10

A save bug in the Siwa Oasis mission put me in a "Game Over" loop that affected all my save slots. I shouldn't have to restart a whole level because the game can't handle a simple reload. Unacceptable for a finished product.

control is so wacky, sound masking is the worst thing to depend on trying to stealth, constant "leaving lobby" with crashes just like SE4
