Information / Review English
Smithy Wars falls under the RPG, Strategy and Simulation genre developed by Bigfoot Studios.
Gameplay / Story
Did you enjoy grinding to the Limit or experimenting with new Spells / Weapons like in other Games? Then you should read on because this Game could be for you. Your task in this Game is that you have to work as a Team to fend off Waves of Monsters. After every fight you Win, you earn Gems, which you can put in better Equipment such as Weapons in order to Upgrade it and make it stronger so that you can stand up to stronger types of Opponents and gain fame. Of course, you can use your normal Weapons and cast Spells on them as an alternative if you don't have any Gems to survive. Defeated Opponents keep coming back, so you will never get bored. Of course, every Round will be harder for you to master, level 100 is your Goal. The fights go well and are well integrated. Regardless of whether you are only targeting your Opponents or trying to defeat them from a distance. There is something for every type of Player and grinding to progress is really fun.
Pro
+ suitable for Beginners and Advanced users + Elo Sytsem as we know it from League of Legends + Long-term Motivation + good Game mechanics + matching raphic Style and Background music + many Weapons and Upgrade options + many setting Options + Price / Performance ratio is right + Achievements
Contra
- Fight sometimes too easy, sometimes too hard
Conclusion
Smithy Wars gives you a good Mix of several mechanics, such as Character customization and Battles. Logical / strategic thinking is rewarded and brings you Victory. Clear buy recommendation in this genre. PS: First of all, many thanks to the developer who made this key available to us for the group.
Information / Review Deutsch
Klare Kaufempfehlung in diesem Genre. PS: Zunächst einmal vielen Dank an den Entwickler, der uns diesen Schlüssel für die Gruppe zur Verfügung gestellt hat. Absolute garbage with so many fake reviews its insane
Sory to say that but this game have no sense at all. Overcomplicated from beggining and not fun at all. It is more like a tool instead of game. Refund.
I bought this game just to see what it was like. "Giving it a try" turned into "playing for 5.7 hours over a couple of days". When I first started playing the game, the enchanting and spellmaking systems made little sense. The same day I started playing it the dev happened to push an update that improved those systems greatly. The game now tells you what enchantments will do and what their requirements are (and if you might cursed from botching those requirements). The spellmaking has a grid and there was some text added to explain what exactly is going on there. I started playing a few days after the adventure mode and "overworld map" were added. It's clear that this dev has been listening to player feedback and improving the game. At its heart of hearts, Smithy Wars is a mobile game. Short gameplay loop, simple graphics, PvP, idle combat. The hallmarks. Yet, while I usually have less interest in mobile games than I do in my bank account (great joke, smart people only), there is something enjoyable about Smithy Wars. And that's considering that, unlike many mobile games, it cost me $9.54 with tax. It's like a mobile game, but better. Just watch the trailers, and if anything in there interests you, I recommend it.
i've put around 2 hours into the game and here's what I think. smithy wars feels like a idle game without the BS normally attached. the only thing I can say about it is that you will spend alot of time experimenting with items and such to find what works best for you and there is little handholding within the crafting and spells
Great game for the genre! Having quite a lot of fun discovering its secrets.
Fun little game if you like to watch auto-battles and try to figure out the best gear and setup to advance further. The adventure mode is very bare-bone but the puzzles are interesting (although repetitive) and it is a good way to farm for gear and money, especially early in the game. I got over 20 hours of fun until I felt I maxed out on gear and could not push further. But the game just got an update with new, much more expensive gear that should allow me to push my champions a little further and squeeze more fun out of this game. Obviously, it looks and feels like a phone game but it feels polished and it runs well. The interface could be better (i.e. no body part filter for gear equip) but it is functional. Spell types are limited to: heal, missile and elemental damage; there are no buffs nor debuffs. I'm not sure if using a damage dealer mage would work well, I only focused on healing so far. Sometime it felt like I was struggling with the game itself (found a few bugs and strange behaviours) but the dev responded to my posts and fixed the issues in the latest update, great! Also, after looking for other auto battler games on steam and reading reviews, it is clear that more expensive games also have their own issues. There's not many auto battlers on steam that are not idle nor RTS nor tower-defense. This is a truly turn based auto battler, the game never rushes you and you can play at your own pace.
Pretty good! The crafting is well thought and original. The enchanting cards really take me back to Legends of Mana
I am thoroughly impressed with this game. I hope it gets lots of support because I want to see more games like this in general, and more specifically from this Dev in the future. Smithy Wars combines the best features of your favorite Free-to-Play browser game, without all the negative traits that usually go along with that [Micro-transactions, teams/guilds, restricting how long you can play, etc.] One of its best features is it's very well balanced for beginners. The "Enchantment" System for weapons and equipment allows new players to compete successfully with more experienced players, or even gain advantage over other beginners. I can't find much to criticize about this game. There are always a few rough edges that could stand some polishing in any game, but the Dev Team is very active in taking suggestions and making improvements. The two new game modes recently added, more than double the replay value. If you like auto/idle battlers, give Smithy Wars a try. I sincerely hope you like it, I want to see you Ladies & Gents on the leaderboard. I've put over 30hrs into this game so far, and I'm looking forward to some PvP competition. Keep an eye on my curator page for some helpful stats and game play tips.
Its not much, so little in fact that phone games offer more. It feels like a chore. very little feels rewarding. The puzzles were fun ill give it that, but the loot was underwhelming and the enchanting system was unnecessarily complex. Same with the spell system, just really unneeded complexity. Both systems felt like bloat, that should have been streamlined to make room for more interesting content. Death loses levels, this is fine and felt fair, if not for the sudden power jumps of enemies. The world map feels like one of those resource capture games. but so far i have seen little benefit to actually taking the land, exploring it yes, claiming it..not much more than a buffer zone from others.
