Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 28 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This software has a LOT of potential to be almost perfect for it's intended purpose, and I was really excited and looking forward to using it, but sadly I don't think it's worth it for the overall cost. Pros: - Pretty easy to use - You can add your own models and sprites which is nice - There's no additional licensing needed to sell your game if that's what you want to do Cons: - VERY limited customization. Can't even change the font of your game in the standalone software - No scripting in the standalone software - Basically in order to have ANY adequate versatility to make your game truly your own, you have to buy the Unity exporter DLC, which is more expensive than the actual software (if you buy the software and this DLC during an 80% sale, you're still looking at a $30 total purchase) My mind would be changed right away if we could have more customization! Even something as simple as fonts and text options. It's been nearly half a decade since the last major update, but I'd still like to think it's possible!
LET US WRITE CUSTOM SCRIPTS ALREADY. SGB could be top tier with some minor edits but there's some funky design limitations going on that make no sense at all. I hate RPG maker but it's actually more feature rich and customizable. The ability to have node level coding, user created plugins and enhanced frontends built for specific types of projects would make this product absolutely decimate the other point and click basic game builders. As it is, think of it like the early ps1 "fighter maker" "rpg maker" type engines, where you can make -something- but it'll still feel like the ingredient box it came out of.

it was good until i tested big sized map 250x250 started to get janky then i lowered to 100x100 same problem seems like more events you put on one location gonna have problem.
Despite lack of scripting it is pretty nice. Get the Unity exporter!
There is just not enough asset support for this. Not even close. The assets they do have are all over the place in terms of quality. And they don't even have enough to make anything worth your time. Just wait until its on sale. Or better yet just don't buy this.
CANT EXPORT TO UNITY WITHOUT A DLC. AND IF U BUY THE DLC, U WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE THE MAP IN UNITY. ITS NOT COMPATIBLE ANYMORE

TLDR: PASS this game 'Company' doesn't know how to make good software, this is a 'tool' that is worse than RPGMaker1995, THEY hype this like its good but its an empty shell with 'events' that have no use.. you cant use them to make things cool (its not like using Tasker where stuff can get complicated but is worth the effort, its cripple-ware that although it has nice ideas and 3D.. it barely makes an RPG never mind anything else due to this company huffing farts). ======= So i have spent a little time with this "Builder" and its ok.. its not brilliant, its more like a V-Tech toy.. it works but not exactly as you would always like. Whats annoying with this?.. 1) there is no script editor (no lua, python, java, cobalt, basic, fortran, c, c++, C#) not even ActionScript which totally limits the possibilities this could of had for being a decent program for novices and non-novices alike. 2) The 3D model editor is not great, its like GameMakers but this shows in '3D' which is all-good but the amount of choice is quite limited even with the Devs imaginary count of 3.5000.000 or what-ever it was... its not & theirs no-way of adding our own (that i can find yet) which also limits the Game Building quite a lot. 3) After Spending more time with this 'Engine/Builder' i find that it is majorly lacking in options (thus this 'tool' cant make that many different type/s of games.. they have to be very very basic with near all interactions done with only the very little amount of 'blocks' your given.. any attempt to 'Make Your Own' interactions via the meth-head system.. you will find.. is trash.. you cant define basic game rules at all (you cant have a timer for many events, you cant make a timer for them even.. just interaction so simple that its not useful). This 'Builder' has less Useful-ness than a pack of used condoms, the event 'editor' is a joke, if you try to make something.. you will manly just give-up.. i thought it would be like writing 'Tasker' commands (Tasker phone app) where you can make really cool but complex things (such as 1 if Tuesday ring Dave then wait 5 end-call.. wait 5 goto 1) but nope.. you get nothing useful. Whats good with this??.. 1) well, if your a kid of 6 years or so... then maybe this is a toy they can use for re-enacting or re-imagining a simple game idea of something simple like "save the princess frog" which you could sell for a few rupees. 2) The 'tools' are easy to find & the gui is very informative which is always great. 3) Its a fun little Wii-Like game maker with Wii-Me characters, its easy to use.. easy to find-stuff, easy to use most of the time. Verdict: It seems the Devs had a good idea. but somehow instead of thinking out-of-the-box they closed off all the ideas, disregarded the ones the community has had (including adding a scripting language) and also made importing models for use with the 3D model editor not available in an easy manor.. I would say buy this product, support the Devs.. but no.. i would say depending on what you require or want / can afford get something actually a bit more useful (especially for the normal price you would expect an Engine, IDE etc or use a free one) ------------------- Wouldn't support this company.. they seem Shady (read other reviews).. make software, do little, leave project, make another for money.. then rinse & repeat without fixing the old or helping the community.properly. --------------------- REVIEW SUBJECT TO CHANGE IN THE POSSIBLE FUTURE
SMILE GAME BUILDER is a game-development tool built around a simple but attractive idea: creating a 3D role-playing game should not require years of programming experience. Developed and published by SmileBoom Co.Ltd., it provides a visual environment where users can construct maps, arrange characters, create events, establish battles, and develop stories without relying heavily on traditional coding. Its greatest strength is accessibility, making it particularly suitable for hobbyists and newcomers who have creative ideas but find conventional game engines intimidating. The software provides a substantial collection of ready-to-use resources, allowing new creators to begin experimenting almost immediately. Characters, monsters, buildings, environmental objects, terrain components, music, sound effects, portraits, and other graphical elements are included. Having these resources available removes one of the biggest obstacles facing beginners, since users do not need to create every piece of artwork before building their first playable area. The default assets can also function as temporary placeholders for creators who eventually intend to replace them with customized material. Map creation is one of the most enjoyable parts of the experience. Instead of modeling entire environments manually, users can assemble areas from prepared 3D components. Towns, houses, fields, dungeons, pathways, stairs, and decorative objects can be positioned visually, giving map construction an almost building-block-like quality. Elevation and three-dimensional spaces also make environments feel more substantial than the flat maps commonly associated with beginner-friendly RPG creation programs. The system encourages experimentation because changing a layout does not demand complicated technical work. Story and event creation follow the same accessible philosophy. Conversations, treasure chests, switches, NPC interactions, transitions, scripted sequences, and other RPG elements can be arranged through visual commands. Programming knowledge is therefore not essential for creating functional sequences. There is still a learning curve, particularly once events become complicated or heavily interconnected, but users spend more time thinking about gameplay logic than debugging programming syntax. This makes the software useful as an introduction to the fundamental logic behind game development. Combat and character progression are designed primarily around traditional RPG conventions. This specialization makes the program easier to understand, but it also creates boundaries. Creators interested in exploration, party-based adventures, NPC dialogue, monsters, quests, and conventional battles will find many of the necessary systems already available. Anyone hoping to produce an unusual action game, sophisticated simulation, or mechanically experimental project may find the framework restrictive. SMILE GAME BUILDER works best when the intended project fits reasonably closely with the kind of RPG it was designed to produce. Customization helps prevent the program from being completely dependent on its stock content. Creators can bring their own graphical resources and compatible 3D assets into projects, providing opportunities to establish a more distinctive identity. This is particularly valuable because games made almost entirely from the included assets can develop a recognizable stock appearance. Artists willing to create original characters, environments, and interface elements can achieve results that feel much more personal. The visual presentation itself is functional rather than technically impressive by current standards. Its graphics technology reflects the software's age and accessibility-oriented design, so creators expecting advanced lighting, highly detailed environments, or modern rendering features will quickly recognize its limitations. However, graphical sophistication was never the main attraction. The emphasis is on allowing someone to assemble and operate a 3D RPG without needing the technical knowledge normally required by a full professional engine. An important point is that easy-to-use development software does not automatically make game development easy. Creating an interesting RPG still requires careful writing, sensible progression, enjoyable encounters, good map layouts, balancing, testing, and considerable patience. SMILE GAME BUILDER simplifies the technical side of production, but the creative responsibilities remain with the user. In fact, this makes it a useful learning platform because beginners can discover the practical challenges of designing a game without simultaneously struggling with an unfamiliar programming language. Steam Deck compatibility is a notable limitation. SMILE GAME BUILDER does not have an official Steam Deck compatibility rating and is fundamentally designed around a Windows desktop development workflow. While experimentation through Steam Deck's compatibility environment may be possible, it should be considered unsupported or unverified rather than a dependable handheld experience. Even if the application can be launched, game-development tasks involving extensive mouse interaction, menus, asset management, and editing are naturally better suited to a desktop setup with a keyboard and mouse. Overall, SMILE GAME BUILDER remains an appealing creative package for users who specifically want to make 3D RPGs without becoming programmers first. Its visual development tools, generous collection of included assets, approachable map construction, event system, and customization possibilities provide a friendly introduction to game creation. Advanced developers will eventually encounter restrictions, and its technology no longer feels particularly modern, but accessibility is the reason to choose it. For beginners, storytellers, hobby developers, and artists interested in transforming RPG concepts into playable projects, it offers a satisfying bridge between imagining a game and actually building one. It is an approachable and capable RPG creation environment that successfully lowers the technical barrier to 3D game development, even though its aging technology, specialized framework, and lack of official Steam Deck support prevent it from being an ideal solution for every creator.
