Pretty fun actually, but not spectacular. Buy on sale imo
It is one of the games of all time
Awesome game, played it a ton back in the day on PS3 as a kid. Really fun, especially if you like pushing yourself and going for perfection. Some Gold Medals are really tough... From what I remember. Also? The soundtrack be bumpin'... I could just sit and listen to the menu music for hours, I'd also turn off all game sound and race around with just the music. It's that good... And. The sound that plays when getting a Gold Medal? Just, ahh... *chefs kiss* There is only one map, but it has multiple tracks, and 3 different car types with different custom shells that you can recolor how you so choose. Oh, and there are three different race types(I think) I know there is a race against time, a race against opponents, and possibly? An elimination race(unsure though). The game is single player, no online, but... There was a DLC splitscreen mode for PS3, it did not make it to PC. Still, it is good fun for $10, would definitely recommend you pick it up if you have some spare change, and time.

this game is a underrated piece of history, the best RC racing game in the ps3 era, or even ever, graphics wise there fun , with a arcade like style matching its arcade like game play , this game is worth it if you enjoy arcade racer games, RC fun and tricks, the game is pretty short taking 2 hours or less/more depending how good you are, there are no new updates currently (due to age) but achievements , leader boards to do , and a small community, if you wish to experience a game full of rc fun then this it , customise your cars go rc race , do tricks , beat records, have fun, this game is nostalgic for its right reasons, thank you for reading have a great day! , and let me know if i helped in anyway, i appreciate it :).
I'm certainly not impressed. Smash Cars does one thing, and only one thing well: Its atmosphere. Seeing the people, animals, moving cars, what you are racing through is amazing. People can even pick up your RC vehicle and toss it if you hit them in their feet. The world feel really alive, which I really haven't seen another RC car game do. However, the game fails at everything else. Content wise, there is a good amount of vehicles but only one environmental location. I don't think I've ever seen a racing game (besides open world ones) be set on one map. Despite having multiple track layouts, the game starts to get repetitive FAST because of this. Physics is also another big killer of this game as its awkward at best. The RC car will CONSTANTLY clip the geometry in the environment, so any little bump in the road can possibly send the car out of control. Bumps have popped me up and also screwed with my car's direction. Handling also feels rather floatly as well, with very weird momentum loss in the air for some reason...? The game has tricks, which is another cool feature. However, most of the time the tracks don't take advantage of this, so you'll normally only get one to two spots to actually do tricks. Whats the point of implementing a trick system when I feel I can't use it half the time? Plus, its slowmotion effect to help with performing tricks comes on inconsistently, which completely throws me off. The final nail in the coffin is that on PC, we are missing the Virus Run DLC that the PS3 version got, which included additional content and splitscreen multiplayer. If the game just had better core gameplay, I may be able to over look its short comings with its content. However, its limited content, awkward physics, not having enough trick spots, and missing DLC on PC makes this one I can't recommend.
Good simple fun.
Great for the money.. Last a good 50 hours of play time.

There needs to be more fun arcade RC car racers on Steam
It's a fun, fast to download, quick to install game. Getting it to work with a controller is a pain but it's fine on a keyboard. Keyboard controls don't seem to be configurable.
