A subpar game by current standards.

The world is opened too fast, overwhelming you with dozens of locations and active spots. You simply can't remember everything.
Constant backtracking is necessary.
The inventory won't stay open.
The map only shows some locations.
There's no indication that collectibles have been found in the current scene.
Too many high difficulty slider puzzles.
Otherwise the world and gameplay is just average.
ну такое себе. игра на поиск предметов
No idea when I obtained this game, but i'm glad I played it. It's a very solid hidden object game, with a decent enough story. However, I wouldn't pay the full £10.99 for this game as it is pretty short (I've finished it with a total of 3.7 hours on record)
I really enjoyed this game. It reminded me of a mix between a Stephen King novel and Lovecraft, that's the vibe I got from the game. I really liked the unsettling small town horror mood that reigns throughout the game. Fun story. Puzzles are pretty nice, but they can get clunky at times, and probably could have used a bit of a smoother mechanic that I found on one or two, but most were good. I really recommend this to anyone into a horror based Lovecraft style HOPA with a bit of King thrown in. I will say the bonus game isn't that great, and honestly doesn't add much to the game and can be skipped in all honesty. But all in all solid game!

I got this game from a friend who works under one of the programmers who made the game, by all accounts a very cool guy! This is definitely one of the better Big Fish type adventure games that I've played. It strikes a good balance between the point and click adventure aspect and the hidden object puzzles, which aren't overly frequent and the ones that do exist are high quality, thematic, and interactive. The puzzles were pretty standard in terms of this genre, but there were a couple that I thought were pretty clever. The Point and Click aspect was also pretty standard moon logic, see the negative reviews about the
gold bar
, but honestly every adventure game ever made has that kind of thing going on. I also appreciate the ground breaking innovation of "when you pick up 2 objects that exist solely to be combined, they just combine", wish that was far more common. In terms of presentation, the art is clean and the cursor makes it quite easy to find items that are meant to be interacted with, mostly. I did end up hinting in the over-world a few times and ending up directed to a section I didn't realize needed to be interacted with. While the game is generally pretty good about kicking you out of a scene when there is nothing left to do in it, there were a couple times where I was kicked out after completing a puzzle, and didn't realize until later that there was something else remaining in the scene and I needed to come back. Story wise, it's pretty standard creepy Cape Cod Cthulu thing, don't think about it for more than 5 seconds, just enjoy the aesthetic. The voice acting could use some work but it's nothing that's going to ruin the game. The listed playtime covers the length of the main game and the Bonus Chapter. I definitely played the game at an aggressive rate and skipped some collectible hunting so there's definitely more time to be had here if that kind of thing appeals to you. Overall, just a very well rounded overall product. Absolutely worthwhile if you're into these kinds of games.
Consigliato. Ottimo titolo.
