Slip 'n Dip

Best game ever!! Philosophical, draws attention to the important things in life by addressing problems caused by climate change in the cutest way I have ever seen. Totally recommend it to everyone who has a heart :) please do a part Two :*

[h1]Does it slip on its feet or dip in the ratings? Perhaps a bit of both...[/h1] [i]Slip 'n Dip[/i] is a party game with local co-op between 2 to 4 players. The goal is to go by sumo rules (well, at least the most popular one), he who stays out of the ring the longest, loses. That said, there's not much to see, though this was the product of a game jam, so with that in mind, let's see what we have. The story is essentially non-existent. You play as a group of penguin friends, but you're in a panic because of global warming caused by nuclear waste dumping in your habitat. This is shrinking the ice you call home and if you stay in the polluted water for too long, you die. So your group of friendly penguins fight for survival...to murder one another so that they alone may live. The way I just put it here is far more poetic than the game will explicitly tell you. For controls, you can run, quack (serves no purpose), and hover by pooping after eating fish. You can also swim back to the ice or push the ice around. The game matches seem to be "best of 5 games"...or whoever hits 3 points first. With the graphics to consider, it's a decent game jam...but as a game outside of that knowledge, we run into a big problem...and that's the longevity of this game. You get your achievements, you're done, you probably won't pick [i]Slip 'n Dip[/i] up ever again. The replayability is severely low and if you're a lonely player, you're out of luck unless you have a spare controller to hook into your PC or can utilize Vjoy basics to emulate a controller to fake having a player present. So, would I recommend [i]Slip 'n Dip[/i]? Sadly, I do not. It's a small scale game that has a severely small scope and unless you have a friend you want to play this with for 10 minutes, I don't see why you would play this game...outside of the achievements. You would probably enjoy [i]Mario Party[/i] or [i]100% Orange Juice[/i] more instead. 1/10 The fact that these penguins hover by pooping...kinda' sums up my final thoughts...
