Heartomatics is one of the worst games I've ever played. It's difficult to tell what each sprite represents, they also don't look original and the styles don't match each other. The clipping/collisions aren't done correctly. When you gain a powerup you don't know what the hell it does. And when you die, there's no respawn, there's no way to restart from the game because there's no menu. You have to close the game and reopen it. Cons: The Whole Game. Pros: Has Cards.

The game is very hard but has trading cards and nice anime backgrounds.
Slime & Friends is yet another of literally hundreds of 2D retro pixel top down brawler/shooters infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This one is deplorably lazy, badly made shovelware, with crap hitboxes, zero polish, and more technical defects than colours in the VGA gamut the game barely uses. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. To make matters worse, there's no mouse input, despite this being sold on PC as if it were a PC game. This is unacceptable and somewhat insulting to PC gamers. It's a good demonstration of the poor attitude the developer has towards PC gamers, and this attitude has resulted in yet another defect in this game. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the video game library/engine, SDL2 (SimpleDirect Media Library). It's rarely used, because it's arguably worse than construction kits like GameMaker Studio, RPGMaker and Clickteam Fusion, but it's also much harder to work with. Despite this, SDL2 has very limited capabilities, which go some way to explaining the poor quality of the game. Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only appears around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards. Slime & Friends is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.

I don't recommend it. Here's why: Pros: - It's an interesting concept, it's kind of like a mini-skyrim-like style, but in 2D. - At least it displays the instructions at the start of the game so you wouldn't have randomly type keys in order to find out what's what. Cons: - No plot/story. It instantly just puts you in a room. - There are clipping issues that occur when you bump into a wall. - There's no menu or pause button. Basically no settings or options. - When you gain an item (aside from power-ups) from killing enemies, you have no idea what its use is for. For example, my drops were a pair of boots, a jacket, some jewels, and what seems to be a pile of stacked up coins. Nothing in the game describes what they're used for. Can I equip them? If so, how? - Pixels don't match up with other pixels. Take for example the bomb explosion. It feels like it's been made from flash or so. - When you die, you don't respawn or go back to the main menu. Instead, if you want to play again, you would have to close out of the game and start it up all over again. I'm willing to change my review if there are any patches or fixes for this game in the near future.
Much as I'd like to give this a good review... I just don't understand this game enough. There seems to be little point beyond trying not to get hit by little purple jelly-things...
游戏不怎么容易,也感觉没什么意思
