Playtime: 5-7 hrs Difficulty: ★★★★☆ Slice of Sea - is point & click adventure game made by Mateusz Skutnik, who also created Submachine. If you like any of Rusty lakes games or Samorost, Machinarium, Mechanic 8230: Escape from Ilgrot etc. You are gonna like this too. What some are saying in their reviews, i personally didn't encounter any glitches or game crashes. Game play, Puzzles & Achievements - I think i'm little bit advanced what comes to using logic in this type of games, since i have played point & click puzzle games for ages now, but oh boy do i need to admit that this game got me stuck and scratching my head more than multiple times. I would say in a good way, since the solutions weren't made out of thin air and actually made sense when you realized them, but they also weren't crazy obvious at first.
Like for example the one where you had to look the train car windows, do they have lights or not. I walked so many times past and didn't realize a that it was anything useful.
It doesn't have that much mini games like some of the other HOG adventure games, this is just more of the pixel hunting type. There is portals which you can use to switch between places, i think that's nice addition since this game has quite large amount of scenes and it would take way more time to move without them. Especially when i took some time to realize i have to collect books and seashells, i had to go back to every scene trying to find them so that i could get the achievement in steam. This game is pleasantly little bit challenging and really enjoyable time killer. It took me around 6 hours to complete, around 5 to get trough the game, but i went back and worth to collect all the achievements so i could get perfect game. So that added hour or something to my playing time. What comes to achievements i would say they are quite easily achieved and you can get them all in one game play which is good. I would say by the story and themes in this game it would suit for anyone, it doesn't have gore or mature content. I'm not completely sure tho is it too hard for younger kids. Story, Artwork & Soundscape - Story follows a some sort of oceanic creature named Seaweed, who wants to find it's way back to the ocean by travelling trough desolated world, finding items and solving puzzles. I don't really have much to say about the story, because it was not so big part of the game in my opinion. What i mean is that there isn't much talking or whatsoever. That's about it, that's the story. If you are familiar with Mateuszs artwork you know this is just as amazing as the others. I like the hand drawn & artsy style of the game, with muted colors that make the game moody. Soundscape creates fitting ambient atmosphere, i got no complaints. About price - I have really mixed opinions about the price, it costs 20,99€ (23,96 USD) without any sale. I love Mateusz Skutnik games and i know they have taken so much time to make and they are literally piece of art, but can i justify myself buying game that entertains me about 5 hours and i know i probably ain't gonna play it ever again, maybe not. But what makes my opinion mixed is that this game is so good, i'm just too stingy about using money. I would recommend buying it from sale, only reason being that the game doesn't take that much time to complete. No other reason. Pros • Amazing hand drawn artwork • Challenging puzzles • 100% perfect achievement game in one play • Decent amount of game play (5 to 7 hours) Cons • Price without sale Story □ Bad □ Could be better □ Decent ☑ Good □ Enjoyable □ Immersive Artwork □ Bad □ Could be better □ Decent □ Pretty good □ Beautiful ☑ Amazing Soundtrack □ Bad □ Could be better □ Decent □ Good ☑ Immersive □ Eargasm Mini games difficulty- Note; There barely had any. □ Toddler could solve □ Easy ☑ Medium □ Advanced □ Hard □ Had to check on google Overal gameplay difficulty □ Toddler could solve □ Easy □ Medium ☑ Advanced □ Hard □ Had to check on google Audience ☑ Kids ☑ Teens ☑ Young adults ☑ Adults ☑ Seniors

If youre amanita & rusty lake enjoyer, for sure you will be at home. Great artstyle, not an easiest achievements, vast map and well hidden riddles will make your time well worth. not for dialogue driven fans, other than that great game.
This is the kind of weird world that draws you in with its uncanny atmosphere and logic-based puzzles
This game is fantastic, but unfortunately there's a bug where if you take a screenshot it crashes and your save is corrupted. EDIT- The bug only happens the FIRST time you take a screenshot. So open the game, take a screenshot, and then you'll be fine in all future saves. Still very frustrating if you lose progress.
I love Mateusz Skutnik's puzzle games. They're challenging, they're gorgeous, they've got intrigue, DEEP MYSTERY, and humour. Really lovely subtle callbacks to Submachine: Legacy throughout this (another game I've loved since it first came out over a decade ago). I'm very attached to Seaweed now. If you've not read the game description first (like I didn't, it's a Mateusz Skutnik game, I know what I've signed up for and I am INTO IT) and just dive in, the little guy's quest is ambiguous till the end, so the ending makes for a lovely surprise. Just. So fun. Yay!
This game is gorgeous and I had a ton of fun playing (and replaying)!
Altamente recomendado.
I finished the game but still don't know what's going on, some puzzles don't even have any hints and they took a long time to solve.
It's a pretty cool game, the artwork and the music are just fantastic! The game consists of many puzzles which will walk you all around the map. The map is huge and has a lot of areas, so make sure you take some notes along the way. Keep pen and paper ready, you'll need it for the puzzles!
