Its ok. The game has a lot of potential, but it lacks direction. I never really knew what I was supposed to be doing. Also, I thought the game was a single level because upon level completion I was told "thanks for playing" and brought to the main menu. It took me a while to find the level select screen and find subsequent levels. It really needs some brushing up, but will be a solid puzzle platformer if some helpful adjustments are made.
The last update make it so much better to play. The new tutorial makes it easier to understand the basic mechanics. Very nice atmosphere, art and sound track. Very relaxing.
Short platformer with simple mechanics and collectible objectives, but only eight small stages of content make the high price hard to justify. The beginning does not reveal much. You take control of a kid who has somehow ended up in a dreamlike realm. A friendly bird explains that the world is ruled by a master, but before you can meet him and find a way out, you must recover several of master’s memories. You start in a castle where the basic moves are introduced. Since the kid is a platforming hero, the main ability is jumping. Pressing the button twice and holding it activates a paraglide that lets you descend slowly or catch wind currents to reach higher areas. The jump is also paired with a run that helps you gain extra distance when crossing gaps or dealing with timed switches. You can also crouch and roll, which is mainly used to break wooden objects. The game is divided into several small diorama like stages where you have to complete a number of tasks. The main objective is to find a memory, which can sometimes be reached immediately through simple platforming. One minor annoyance is that triggering a memory automatically sends you back to the main hub, forcing you to replay the entire stage if you want to collect anything you missed. Because of this, it is best to finish everything else first. To unlock new stages you need to collect seven totem pieces. You do not have to find them all in a single visit to progress, but it is worth trying while you are already there. Totem pieces remain collected when you return, but everything else resets. Some totem pieces are visible and can be reached through platforming, while others are hidden behind locked doors or obstacles, or only appear after activating switches. Each stage contains three switches that must be stepped on in order from one to three. Activating them can make a totem piece appear, open a door, or trigger a platform. There are also timed switches that force you to move quickly before they reset. Another totem piece is hidden behind a special door that opens only after you collect all twelve coins scattered around the stage. Although stages are not very large, death can come quickly. Falling into the void around the stage will kill you, as will hazards such as acid or lava, or taking too many hits from enemies. The problem is that dying sends you back to the hub and forces you to restart the entire stage. The same thing happens if you trigger the memory too early. The final stage is especially frustrating since it is surrounded by lava and filled with enemies that can knock you into it. On the other hand, the game is very short. There are only eight stages and the whole thing can be finished in less than an hour. Even though the character wakes up at the end, there is no real resolution, and it feels as if there should have been much more content. Because of that, the price is far too high for what the game offers and it is difficult to recommend at full cost. Ideally the price should be reduced by about seventy percent.
Super cozy game with a heartwarming atmosphere. Sound, level and art direction are spot on. I'd often stop to appreciate whats around me. The mechanics are simple enough to the point anyone can play but that doesn't mean the game doesn't have its challenges, as the levels extract the most of each existing mechanic in a creative way.
