Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 18.67/day in the week to Aug 4 → 29.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 12: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I finally finished Sleeping Dogs and honestly, what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. I went into it expecting a good open world crime game, but by the end I understood why people still talk about this game so many years later. For me, the story is easily an 8.5/10, and that is probably the biggest reason I ended up loving the game as much as I did. Wei Shen is such a great protagonist because his entire story is built around him being stuck between two worlds. He is a cop infiltrating the Triads, but as the story progresses, those lines start becoming less and less clear. These aren't just random criminals he is working with anymore. He builds friendships, earns trust, becomes part of their world and starts developing genuine connections with people he is technically supposed to betray. That whole conflict between loyalty and identity is what made the story so memorable for me. I genuinely cared about what was happening to Wei and the people around him, and some of the later moments hit much harder because of the time you spend with these characters. Hong Kong is also a massive part of why this game feels so special. The city has so much personality. The markets, crowded streets, neon lights, small alleys, buildings, shops and nightlife all come together to create an atmosphere that still feels unique. It isn't the biggest open world ever made, and it obviously cannot compete with modern games technically, but I honestly don't care because the world feels alive and memorable. I could just drive around Hong Kong listening to the radio and enjoy being there. The combat is another huge highlight. The hand to hand combat is ridiculously satisfying, especially when you start using the environment around you. Throwing people into objects, using the surroundings during fights and watching Wei absolutely destroy groups of enemies never really got old for me. The shooting and driving are definitely weaker parts of the game and you can feel the age of some of the mechanics, but even those never ruined the overall experience for me. Some side activities can become repetitive too, and there are definitely technical limitations that are obvious now, but these are things I can acknowledge without letting them overshadow what makes the game great. The soundtrack, atmosphere, missions and world design all work together incredibly well, and the game has an identity that is honestly hard to find in modern open world games. What surprised me the most was how emotionally invested I became. Sleeping Dogs isn't just about being a badass undercover cop running around Hong Kong. It is about Wei slowly becoming caught between the life he is supposed to live and the life he has created for himself. That makes the story feel much more personal, especially when the relationships he builds start having real consequences. And that's why I don't want to judge this game purely by modern technical standards. Yes, some mechanics are dated. Yes, some things could have been better. But when I look at the complete experience, I had an absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blast playing it. The game has style, atmosphere, personality, memorable characters, fantastic combat and a story that actually stayed with me after finishing it. Even after all these years, Sleeping Dogs still feels like its own thing rather than just another open world crime game. For me, this is genuinely one of those games that deserves to be remembered. My final rating for the main game is 8.5/10, and honestly, calling it just an 8.5 almost feels unfair because of how much I enjoyed the experience. It isn't perfect, but it is absolutely a masterpiece in my eyes and one of those games I am genuinely glad I finally played.
