Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 18.67/day in the week to Aug 4 → 29.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 12: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Sleeping Dogs is easily one of the best story-driven games I've played. The gameplay and characters are fantastic However, if you're an achievement hunter, be warned this game has some annoying achievement bugs. Despite that, I still recommend giving it a try. The story alone makes it worth playing. If you like Grinding. :]]
Wow, this game is such a hidden gem. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute playing this. The story is incredible, I especially loved the conflict between which side Wei is on. Each of the characters I met had real personality that I could care about, without limiting themselves to stereotypes or shallow personalities. Outside of the story, the side content was great. I especially loved the races and police content. The map was interesting enough (although not hugely varied). The combat is super satisfying, especially the killing moves. A lot of reviews mention that the driving is horrific and "arcade-like". I didn't experience that at all. The driving feels completely serviceable. I would, however, say that the shooting feels a little dated. The graphics are also an area I'd love to see improve with a remake/remaster. But at least it played at a locked 60 FPS on high settings on the Steam Deck. Not a single crash. Overall, I definitely recommend this game. Especially given its sub-£2 sale price.

If you value your time don't play Sleeping Dogs because even though the initial 3-5 hours of the game starts off strong, it quickly loses steam, which I think is due to the game being in development hell and switching studios. It feels as if they only meshed out 20% of the game before they had to rush the rest. Nearing the end I was asking my self why the ♥♥♥♥ am I driving here, what does this mission have to do with anything, who are these people? The game really fails to set up characters and let alone make you care about them since they keep introducing new characters and jumping all around the place, you lose track of who. The missions soon become stale and its the same ♥♥♥♥ over and over again. Chase this guy over a rooftop playground, get chased by endless swarms of cars or chase cars. Bug a phone, bug a laptop. Beat some guys up, do some cover shooting and repeat. For the sake of my sanity I had to use the taxis even though the driving is fun, a lot of the times the game dumps you far away from missions and since its a linear 'open world' you can't really take short cuts through the map and have to take the one highway that loops around the whole map. That's why I think the game doesn't value your time, since the later half you are just doing what feels like 'filler' missions to pad out the game. Graphics wise its okay, however the character models look lowpoly. However the first city hub really does feel like Hong Kong and I wished it stayed like that. The gameplay is really easy and its just press triangle to counter and kill everyone. The game doesn't really explain why a cop is putting guys heads through sawblades and impaling them. I feel like they should of made the game more like a RPG set in Hong Kong hubs similar to the Yakuza games because the 'open world' is really boring since you are a cop at the end of the day. That's the issue. It feels nothing like the previous True Crime series, there is hardly any emergent police gameplay except copy and past side missions such as 'Stop the car' or 'Stop robbery number 11 at the same clothes shop'. There is also this half-baked PTSD subplot that feels cut, the gf questline also feels like it was cut short. Yeah its just a shame the game could of been good if they focused on the True Crime gameplay aspect or scrape the open world and focus on the story.
Almost 10 hours in, INCREDIBLE GAME. I don't know why I slept on it so much. It's Yakuza x Grand Theft Auto. Absolutely amazing, I know the ending is going to hit me like a pile of bricks. PLAY THIS GAME. for such an old game it pays attention to detail that recently released games don't. It also looks incredible w/ 4k, comparable to modern games. Amazing storytelling and world building, I cannot wait to finish the game.
