Story — 8/10 Sleeping Dogs delivers an enjoyable undercover crime story inspired by classic Hong Kong action films. While the narrative is engaging and filled with emotional moments, many of its twists and character arcs feel familiar if you've watched a lot of Hong Kong crime movies. It's a solid story, but not particularly groundbreaking. Characters — 8.5/10 Wei Shen is a likable protagonist whose struggle between his duty as a police officer and his loyalty to the Triads adds emotional weight to the story. The supporting cast is memorable enough to keep you invested throughout the campaign, even if some characters could have been explored further. Gameplay — 8/10 The martial arts combat is satisfying and remains the game's biggest strength. Environmental takedowns are fun, and driving is enjoyable. However, after many hours, combat encounters and side activities begin to feel repetitive, making the gameplay loop lose some of its freshness. Open World & Atmosphere — 8.5/10 Hong Kong is packed with personality despite not being the largest open world. The busy streets, neon lights, markets, and local culture give the city a unique identity that helps distinguish Sleeping Dogs from other open-world crime games. Graphics & Presentation — 8/10 For a game originally released in 2012, the Definitive Edition still looks respectable. Lighting and environmental details have aged reasonably well, although facial animations and some textures clearly show their age. DLC Content — 8.5/10 The Definitive Edition includes all downloadable content, providing additional missions, outfits, vehicles, and gameplay variety. While not every DLC is equally memorable, they add worthwhile extra content and improve the overall package. Replay Value — 8.5/10 Completing every achievement offers plenty of content to explore, and the satisfying combat makes revisiting the game enjoyable. However, once everything has been completed, there isn't much incentive to return beyond replaying favorite missions. I played **Sleeping Dogs** for about **20 hours**, completing the main story, exploring the open world, and playing the DLCs. This game impressed me from start to finish. The story is one of the best I've experienced in gaming. **Wei Shen** is an absolute badass protagonist, and his character makes the story even more engaging. The hand-to-hand combat and action sequences are easily the biggest highlights of the game. Every fight feels satisfying, brutal, and fun. The only downside for me was the driving. The driving mechanics and the camera angle while driving felt awkward compared to the rest of the gameplay. Overall, this is a must-play game. If you enjoy story-driven action games with excellent combat, I highly recommend **Sleeping Dogs**.

Good story and the combat enhances it! Love the world it's set in and the side missions to increase Face value. Would be an even better game if the gunplay was tightened up more. These older fun games that know they're a game are always fun to jump back into!
