The Underrated Kung Fu GTA

Sleeping Dogs is one of the most underrated open-world games. It comes close to GTA but never feels like a cheap copy. Hong Kong, the undercover cop story and the brutal hand-to-hand combat give it a clear identity of its own. The story is gripping from start to finish. The characters are strong, the atmosphere is great and the combat is the best part of the game. Punches, counters and environmental takedowns feel brutal and satisfying even years later. The driving and gunplay are not as strong as the melee combat, but the full package still works. Sleeping Dogs deserved far more attention and absolutely deserved a sequel.

A brutal open-world classic that deserved more.
Underrated game tbh, it’s fun. The story lacks some context in early game but the rest of it is good. Stellar action, and the fighting mechanics are so good!
