I was asked if I would be willing to review this game if given a key so I took a look at the page and thought it looked like a cute, easy and fun time sink. Easy was not the right choice of words.
Game on!
Initially starting out I could feel how it could be addicting just wanting to collect things and how far could I make it. While there was a tutorial explaining the game basics, things went a lot deeper than I realized. I made the mistake of skipping the Town and going straight to the new area to fight. 30 minutes of death and only got to level 3. Not exactly a fun time. What I didn't know is those lovely abilities in the tutorial you have to level up and get a skill point to train each one, plus 3 other skills along side them. Additionally there is armor with many many stats to boost you up. And in Town you can even purchase mat's to upgrade your armor on the Anvil. FYI you also get rewarded these upgrade stones from the Objective rewards. So, I had to rethink my strategy cause I wasn't getting very far. While you are given a Sword it didn't help me starting out. It was more effective to drop a skill point into Fyrebol [3] and use that and run around the monster(s). If a couple managed to get close together it was nice to get 2+ birds with one stone. Time your Bomblosion attack [1] to bring them down faster. If you are low on health you can use the Slashtile [2] attack and swing a range projectile in their direction. Pros:

Tutorial.
Mini map.
Objectives. (Slay x things, Open x chests, etc) and get rewards.
Shrines (buff or spawn enemies).
Comparison stats on equipment.
Continuous attack w/ Left mouse + hold.
Option 'Skip starting scene' animation.
Bank (stash).
Vanity armor once 2, 5, & 10 achievements reached. Or you can buy the DLC. (2 for Bikini, 5 for Student, 10 for Slayer)
Ability to sell extra loot.
Cons:

Loss of progress gained upon Death and can't return to Town to save, must complete the level. Few times I got some really awesome gear drops, and a Bigie Summon Portal and I died before I could complete which is discouraging when it happens enough. From the developer, "When you die in a map or exit the game while in a map, you lose every item or progress made in that map. When you are in town, you can save the game from in-game menu, before you exit the game. Every map-to-town or town-to-map transition is autosave."
The gear you loot [F] while graphically different, when equip it has no appearance. But as mentioned in Pros there are 3 other outfits from unlocking achievements (or buying DLC).
No confirmation when buying Bounties. Spoke with dev about this already though. I ended up clicking a few of the bounties in Town and then asked the Developer how they worked, only to realize as he started to explain that my Bounties tab now had 4 things listed. *facepalm*.
No buy back if you sell something to Hato. I was clicking at the top of the Uncommon (white or gray) items and the screen shifted up/down at the same time due to the reduced inventory length from selling stuff so the next click sold a Common (blue) item.
Health potions being random drop and not collectable. To me, it would be nice to equip them to use as needed. To be fair, once you know what is happening it's not so bad not having them at your whim. My first 30-40 minutes of play when I was figuring things out, it was certain death when a boss would spawn, mostly because all mobs were dead (so no chance at a health pot), and health was already low combined with no gear which I learned later is where stats come into play like life steal and regen.
Pro & Con:

No achievements. But this might also be a blessing and has the potential to change since there is an in game list of achievements. Which include killing 500 of 24 different types of mob and a Hard, Rock Hard, Flying, and Manic difficulty to name a few.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2037874702
Fun times carry on.
Once you know what's going on, which you should have a better idea than I did if you read this far, it's a pretty fun little game. Spent 2 hours the firs time and didn't even realize it. It appears to be gearing towards infinite re-playability as well. At least that's my impression based off this note from the developer, "When you complete current difficulty, you move to the next one. Same system, just harder. After 4 difficulty, endgame begins. Abyss system. Random map from those 20 maps but there is minimum light. Dark environment. At that point, which type of map you get is random." Sounds brutal if you ask me. I guess you need to ask yourself if you have what it takes to Slay the Bigies?
Disclosure:
I did receive this game fore Free for review purposes. I did not receive any other compensation besides the game key.

"Hentai usual asset" character available :D Expensive. [ハック&スラッシュ] 「いつもの」assetの女の子がランダムドロップアイテムでダンジョンに立ち向かう。最深のボスを倒せ。内容を考えるとちと高価。
Warning: Asset Flip! Slay The Bigies is an asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" ripped off some assets from the Unreal Marketplace, dropped them lazily onto Unreal's famous third person BP template, and submitted it to Valve as if it was their own game.
Slay The Bigies is yet another of literally hundreds of lazy amateur retro top-down brawlers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. The only remarkable thing about this is the admission in the credits that they ripped all the assets from the marketplace, rather than overtly claiming credit for the work of others. However, they didn't actually credit the specific asset creators... not giving credit to the real developers behind an asset flip is one of the hallmarks of an asset flip. Along with deplorably low quality... also present in this asset flip. But what should we expect? The "developer" here is a known asset flip scammer. QuickSave/SA Industry have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Falling Words" = 2D Typing Game developed by Steelkrill Studio
"Kingdom Defense" = Tower Defense Basic Pixel Art Pack developed by FreeThePlayerOnGame
"Drive For Your Life" = Zombie Drive - Full Game Template developed by Puppeteer
This lazy asset flip is a basic 3D rendered top down brawler with the often stolen anime girl asset I've seen in probably around 30 asset flips to date (it's that overdone). The quality is extremely low with janky controls... it's obvious this was a lazy, minimum viable product rushed quickly through Steam Direct as a cash grab. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game assets are far from bleeding edge, with lowish polygon counts and somewhat low resolution textures, making this look like it's at least 10 years old. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks poor in comparison to more professionally produced games as a result of their decisions. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this asset flip? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Slay The Bigies is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. Remember that if you buy a game from an unethical developer, you're putting your money at risk.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
bu oyunu almanın pek bir anlamı yok gençler...
StB is a nice looking, fast paced arpg game with cool mechanics, decent gear/upgrade system, fun and polished gameplay loop. Highly recommended.
not bad for an indie developer
Great game,also contoller works :D
ANOTHER ONE TRYING TO TRICK US! YOU CANNOT DO ANYTHING AT THE BEGGING OF THE TUTORIAL THE GAME EVER BUG ON THE FIRST PART OF HIM -_-
