In this video I take a look at Slaveblade a third person hack'n'slash dungeon crawler. I see a lot of negative reviews and I'm not really sure why, I think it's quite good. One person even said it's missing sound effects but they've either been added or I just didn't encounter his issue. Another went on about movement but again I found it to be just fine. Others talk of asset flip, but I don't care if it's an asset flip as long as the game is good and I felt it was. The initial weapon only allows a lunge attack, it's the weapons signature, and this might be miss-interpreted as a bad combat system if you don't know, but you can just use another weapon if you don't like it. People should rate a game on what it's actually like and not how they are told- hashtag transparent. It is a rogue like game though and quite challenging, I often found myself back at the beginning but it does offer a nice experience. Ultimately I think it's challenging with a great atmosphere. It looks fantastic and in my experience was fun to play. Not sure why all the negativity? Well done and keep up the good work, it's a cool game.
Before I played Slaveblade, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good

THEY SEE ME ROLLIN'
Would you rather watch than read? Me too. Check out the highlights of the gameplay here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCWGu3ObSHE So first off, the best part of this game was something that I discovered late into my playthrough: You can roll everywhere and attack at the same time and basically be an invincible tornado of swords against any foolish enemies who would stand in your way. It shouldn't exist in the game but it does, and it's hilarious. You can check my video for that amazingness. The game itself is very pretty, with the areas and models looking like they actually are from a really high end studio. I am not sure if they were bought from something like the unity store or they were made by hand, but the game is definitely pretty. No one will deny that. The issue is everything else. While the game looks great, the combat is clunky, hard to learn and often doesn't work at all. Different weapons are supposed to have certain abilities and they seem to often not fire, if you can hit the enemies at all. There are almost no sound effects in the game leading to a huge lack of immersion and the enemy attacks are basic, if anything. The single dev that worked on this game obviously has his heart in the right place for making a really tough, basic game. The issue is that this game right now is just lacking a lot of the pieces that make these types of games fun. If combat were smoothed out and the mechanics fixed I can see this being a short, fun experience for people who want a challenge. As it stands now though, it really is borderline unplayable. The nice thing about early access is that they have a chance to polish the game and come back with something really great. It's going to take a lot of work but it can be done. This game looks absolutely amazing at first glance. But going in to the game, as much as it looks good, I found the fuzzy textures when you get too close to anything make me motion sick. You also get the clip through wall view in game while playing that can confuse you with the very slow turn rate of the mouse. As much as I love a good campain it is hard to follow through when you cant even use the most simple instructions in game. Press 5 to charge magic. press E to use magic. Does this and nothing happens... on easiest settings. I know this is a beta game and I will follow the progression of it with hopes it will come out good in the end. Dont get too discuraged. The graphics is there with a small fine tune needed. Not sure about the story line yet seeing as motion sickness prevented me from playing very far. Absolutely needs a configuration of controls. I play a multitude of games and am well use to playing 2 handed mouse + keyboard with keybinds etc. As far as I could tell no target lock. Thats fine as I most of the time dont use it anyway. The turn rate of the mouse was super slow. And I really mean super slow. You dont have time to turn slow when your fighting. Remember, its life or death we are talking about. I hope you keep an eye on the game and watch it develope. I will make sure to revisit and do a new review at a later date!
The camera angles are all over the place, movement just feels slow. The only thing this game has the graphics look good.
