Gets dull real fast,
Looking at the Steam charts, reviews section, forums and after playing Slam Bolt Scrappers for some time, I'm sure about one thing - it's one of most underrated indie games I ever played. The whole idea and gameplay in this game is very fun! It's hard at begin to play with mouse + keyboard and it's easy to be lost, but after few games you get used to it. It's not really dull or boring, if you give up after few missions or after playing a match with bots then maybe yeah, but this is not how you enjoy Slam Bolt Scrappers. The only thing that's missing is online multiplayer option. Not everyone have someone irl to play games together and game like this could bring a few more players :) If you like all kind of tetris-like games mixed with other genres and interesting mechanics, you will enjoy this one.
Es un tetris con mejores gráficos y un personaje que manejas en pantalla y mueve las piezas. No es lo más original que existe, pero al menos te da cromos! le di ese uso.
Very fun game. Awesome to play with friends but the mechanics are also fun enough for a few solo rounds.
Total clusterfukk of tetris and other "combine the colors" puzzlers. It's no fun at all it has no right to exist.
Building "weapons" (read: turrets that attack your opponent's turrets) by matching blocks is somewhat satisfying, but the game doesn't really feel like it goes anywhere with it in the single player. Half the weapon types feel useless, and the combat for your own character feels button mashy, even if there are a few combos. I have a feeling it's the kind of thing that would work better against real people (and it does have local multiplayer I haven't tried), but whether it would turn out to have more depth than I've seen or devolve into punching each other in the face while throwing blocks around randomly, I can't tell.
I owned this game on the PS3, i think it still holds up as one of the best Tetromino style games
Tags: Casual - Brickbreak&Pinball Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Splitscreen tetris, local co-op, couch combat game with SCHMUP elements. Akward tower building with modules that fight each other battle royale style. This is a tetris VS game with SCHMUP elements where you hunt down small NPC for tetris pieces and combine color of pieces together to create modules for a vertical tower. Modules have an effect (e.g. fire rockets) every few seconds and the goal is to raze the foe's tower. Nobody I played this with every appreciated having to multitask the tetris with the combat. They just feel like two different mental processes that compete with each other rather than complement each other. Having to play five levels single player to unlock local co op was also an unwelcome surprise. Removed for declutlter.
A pretty fun party game. :)
