It's funny was scrolling on Facebook and thinking I wish there was a remake of Simcopter or at least something similar and as I'm scrolling I see this add of helicopter game, and I'm like ohh let's give it a try... Bro turns out this is basically Simcopter but improved and enhance on really beautiful tribute way. Please don't hesitate to buy the It's a gem. You will enjoy a lot, and if you find any bugs or glitches, the creators are willing to fix those almost immediately
2 hours in and my only complaint is........ Please. For the love of god, or whoever you find holy in this world. Please.....PLEASE put the CONTINUE GAME option in the menu, at the TOP OF THE LIST. Make IT the one thats highlighted. I have ruined so many runs because i am so used to having "Continue" being at the top of a menu, only to click "Return to Hangar". Or being the one thats highlighted.
Fun little game.
Damn I'm Old... After 30 years of waiting for a new SimCopter game, SKYSAVIOR is a great successor. looking forward to more updates. Great game
The nostalgia in this one is -strong-. For anyone who loved the old SimCopter game circa 1996, this is like a well and truly overdue update, remaster, and newness all in one. Loving what I have played so far, and greatly looking forward to all that comes next!
I've wanted to relive the SimCopter experience for so long. This modernizes it and makes some smart changes. Thank you thank you
a game thats taken ideas from simcopter , its still not finished but it got potential , needs alot of ideas to be applied , small dev team who did good job regard some details , but its still needs development and more content to be added , developer needs support with its limited budget for this project to be better and i like it since others didn't succeed , and he's fan of simcopter also , thats enough to support oh i forgot to say . . . you can RIP Maxis
Really neat and fun little helicopter game! SimCopter all over again.
Absolutely beautiful successor to SimCopter, which I love. A very talented and motivated programmer spent quite a bit of time and effort patching the code around 2019-ish, thus making it playable on modern PC's, allowing some of us to thoroughly enjoy that classic once again. Simcopter X was the site, for anyone that wants to see the original that laid the groundwork for SkySavior. As soon as my friend mentioned this 'reborn' version of SimCopter I bought it and took it for a test flight. I can see it's still a work in progress, but what I've played so far is a testament to this team's dedication and talent in bringing such a fine homage to SimCopter to life. So after ~12 hours of 'flight time', reaching level 17, and buying each helo along the way so as to fly each one, here's my 2 cents; -I love the day/night cycle combined with the textures and color palettes of the city and geography. Ocean waves rolling up and down the coastlines....nice. The cool weather effects and sudden changes that force you to climb to a safe altitude in bad weather...awesome! Not to mention landing on the Navy ship, love it. Looks great on my 42 inch LG oled, as well. -The flight models on a couple helos feel a bit exaggerated, but otherwise are quite fun, at least with gamepad. I have yet to try m/kb. I hope to see flightstick and kb support, similar to SC, or at least a more fleshed out camera control, megaphone and equipment functionality. -The music is great. From perfectly ambient beats that blend well with the focused but chill vibe of the game. Some of the tracks that seem to play at just the right time sound like they could be from a Rainbow 6 or Splinter Cell game, or Tom Clancy Movie...very cool OST overall. -The customization features for your pilot and helo are cool, if not completely ironed out atm. -Overall, I am stoked on this game and look forward to this team's ongoing efforts with this. Keep it up! A few things I hope to see smoothed out or changed; -Obviously the menus are still being dialed in. As someone quite familiar with SimCopter, I can't help but to imagine a similar level progression scheme with varying geography and cityscapes, challenges, etc. -The map and mission managment definitely needs to be cleaned up so that it's easier to sort and isolate multiple missions simultaneously and select your own 'primary/secondary' objectives. This is where a fleshed out kb and flightstick setup on SimCopter came in handy. Being able to cycle through the numerous current missions and focus on each one is a plus. -I hope to see the ability to dispatch and manage EMS/FD/PD units to assist with, or handle calls, similar to SC. I see the fire engines, ambulances, and police cars driving around, sometimes with their lights and sirens going, but they're not really going anywhere or doing anything realistic. - Same with the traffic patterns, I hope to see more realistic traffic flow, as opposed to cars just driving back and forth mindlessly on some of the long streets. Same applies to local air traffic. That'd be cool if some of those airliners zooming by actually came in for a landing, or took off from the runway, forcing you to be aware of their flight paths. -When dropping off paramedic to a 'medical assist', it would be nice to see them take action with the injured civilian, like actually approaching the victim and taking appropriate measures. As it is, they never approach the victim, and instead, just stand there waving their arms up and down. -I'm not sure where I stand on the water bucket/landing basket mechanic where you pick it up from FD and drop it when you're done. I'm not opposed to it, I'm just used to SimCopter where you purchase/unlock the water bucket, water cannon, rescue harness, tear gas, etc, at your hangar and the gear is then permanantly a part of your fleet's equipment. -The megaphone voice is too high pitched and, honestly, quite annoying. It also sounds like it was recorded "hot", as in the level was too high when recorded. The tower dispatcher is ok, but could use some more variety in lingo and information provided. Anyhow, I am really looking forward to seeing this project evolve and rollout whenever this impressive team is ready to do so. In the meantime, since I have a bit of downtime ahead, I'll be racking up some "flight time' here. Thank you to Raphael do Amaral de Albuquerque and Codigo Justo for bringing the spirit and essence of the beloved SimCopter back to life! Salud!
Very promising little arcade heli game
