Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 18 → 12.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Very mediocre game, full of microtransactions and the usual beloved-by-all ubisoft shenanigans Grindy, buggy and boring is what it is, but if you really like turning off your brain while sailing around sinking enemy ships over and over again, then it's perfectly serviceable (get it at a -95% sale) Honestly they should have made this f2p and shouldn't have advertised it as an "AAAA" game, maybe then the game's reception wouldn't have been as harsh I reckon making it an actually good game in the first place would have helped too
A Great Pirate Game—Just Not the Black Flag MMO Many Expected
I stayed away from Skull and Bones for a long time because of its reputation as a major disappointment. However, when Black Flag Resynced was announced, I suddenly felt the need to play something pirate-themed. When I saw Skull and Bones on sale for around three dollars, I decided there was little risk in giving it a try. More than 80 hours later, I can safely say that I have loved my time with it. The game was initially quite overwhelming. There are numerous currencies, events, contracts, side activities, progression systems, and resources to understand. However, it became increasingly enjoyable as I learned how everything worked. Sailing and exploring the seas is especially satisfying, and gradually improving my ship, equipment, and understanding of combat kept me engaged far longer than I expected. I believe much of the negative reception came from expectations. Many players understandably expected something resembling an online version of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, complete with land combat, exploration, and other familiar Assassin’s Creed elements. Skull and Bones is not that game. It is primarily focused on ships, naval combat, progression, and sailing. Approached on its own terms, however, there is a great deal of fun to be had here. My main complaints after 80 hours are relatively minor. Movement on land feels clunky, and the constantly repeated vendor dialogue becomes extremely tiresome over time. Beyond those issues, I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys naval combat and pirate-themed games, particularly if you haven't played Black Flag (or if you are able to set aside expectations and accept that this is not an online sequel or replacement for that game). Judge it for what it is rather than what people expected it to be, and you may be pleasantly surprised.
excellent game always improving it and i am always wanting more.....keep it up
Basicaly garbage! Unfortunately a game that could have been potentialy fun, is not fun because they decided to make it a "Live-Service Game", but then they don't provide a PROPER LIVE SERVICE. There are moments that destroy the gameplay, the incentive to go anywhere and do anything is quickly gone, facing insane lags (I've got 1000/1000 direct fiber) dumb disconnects, like, check this: "The Host has left the Server" ... The damn Host ist the Server/The Game Company who supossed to provide a "Live-Service" ... how can the HOST leave the Server??? wtf!? Long story short: It could be fun, but it's not because your gamplay is constantly interupted because of a Live-Service that is not live, or not alive at most at the time. It's just horrible and the exact opposite of immersion ... demmersion if you will so. I lost interest ... wait let me see ... ... ahhh after 2.6h ... Unfortunately a game -well better lets call it a "thang" because it's not a game if it is not fun- for the NOT TO DO LIST! ---rep! Like hell!
Every time I broke my Don't buy Ubisoft game ever again rule, I got reminded why I created that rule.
It's not what people were expecting thinking it was going to be a black flag remake, and that's fine. It's a very chill pve game with a really solid atmosphere and vibe with cool systems. It's like elite dangerous but pirate version with way more variety in systems and content. Progression systems are its main focus and it handles and juggles all of them simultaneously rather well imo. You can do everything without feeling like you're out of breath keeping up or feeling overwhelmed. It has a lot of potential that ofc the devs won't be able to bring out fully because ubisoft and because they're not really making money off it so what they're doing with what they've got is pretty neat
It feels like an empty game, not good enough to go to the heavy area if that is better, I doubt it. Just hours and hours constantly of just going in circles pressing mouse button to fire, that's it. Beautiful but hollow game :\
I think Skull and Bones is one of those games that's judged more by its expectations than by what it actually is. I picked it up on sale and ended up putting 80+ hours into it, unlocking 49 out of 50 achievements. Safe to say I got hooked. The internet told me this game was terrible. My playtime says otherwise. The ship combat is genuinely fun, progression feels rewarding, and the world is beautiful to sail through. There's a satisfying loop of gathering materials, upgrading ships, experimenting with different ship builds, completing contracts, taking on world events in co-op. It has some flaws and there's room for more endgame content, hope they add more in upcoming seasons, but if you like naval combat, fighting both monsters and other pirates and becoming a pirate lord yourself, you'll probably enjoy it as much as I did. I enjoyed it far more than I expected, and for the price I paid during the sale, it was absolutely worth it. Recommended
