Battle as the bio-science obsessed Virid, Conquer as the holy order of Sanctul or sew chaos as the demonic legion of Matulis. Each faction comes with their own unique commanders, units, buildings, weapons and passives with focuses on different playstyles.

Destroy your many enemies alone or fight alongside your own forces. Defend not only yourself, but your buildings so you can gain the advantage on the unrelenting waves of enemies.

Equip your commander with a multitude of weapons such as snipers, shotguns, lasers, shields and grow stronger over the course of a battle. Then outside of the battlefield upgrade a faction's tech tree increasing the stats of that faction and unlocking stronger weapons, buildings and units.

Along with the unique enemy units on each level requiring different strategies to defeat, each world has multiple bosses for you to conquer; these range from giant alien mutants to enormous machines.

As you play you unlock new maps to fight on, new weapons, passives, commanders and new difficulties.

I really love this game and didn't expect to get addicted the first playthrough. I am really addicted to Homunculus because of its ability to split itself into 3 and it copies your weapons and it feels like you can have as many of yourself as you want. The game motivates you to use every vehicle to unlock other vehicles and to be honest, I like that. Surprisingly I like every map and enjoyed seeing the different bosses. Only one issue I ran into and that's when I turned master volume all the way down, chain lightning ability still makes a sound, other than that?? 10/10 for me. Played 6.9 hours haha day one! After playing again and unlocking completely everything I noticed on the last level when you breach the gate you can phase through the walls on both the left and right side making it to where the enemies can't get to you. I haven't tried any other maps to notice anymore glitches but will edit review if so. Oh and on the same level you can clip through the boundaries before boss on the right side, haven't check left.
great game! it is incredibly optimized and runs like butter. no bugs, no crashes, just smooth gameplay. i played for a couple of hours and here is why i recommend it: --> the mix of action and strategy is perfect. you control a commander but also get to build a base to help defend against waves. --> collecting mass to upgrade your tech tree is really satisying and lets you get stronger weapons. --> the dark sci fi theme looks great. the characters and vehicles are unique. --> there are three factions to choose from. i mostly played matulis and loved their style. --> the boss fights are cool, ranging from giant mutants to huge machines. verdict: highly recommended. it is a fun, bug free experience that blends shooting and building perfectly.
The game offers a great variety of units, each with unique weapons and abilities that keep every round exciting. The pacing is smooth, the progression feels rewarding, and there’s always something new to try. Perfect for killing time
