Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Symulator agonii alkoholika zrobiony w RPG makerze. Gra na kilkanaście minut.

Simple Story - Alex is a small-scale narrative adventure that places storytelling above everything else. Developed and published by KuKo, the game follows Alex, a man whose life has been consumed by disappointment and alcoholism. His routine existence is suddenly disrupted when he awakens in a mysterious temple, setting the stage for a journey that explores personal struggles, self-discovery, and the blurred boundary between reality and imagination. Rather than relying on traditional gameplay systems, the experience is built around uncovering the meaning behind Alex’s strange circumstances. What immediately stands out is the game’s commitment to a focused and intimate narrative. The story revolves around an ordinary individual who dreams of becoming something greater than the person he has become. This contrast between aspiration and reality gives the protagonist a relatable foundation, even within the game’s more surreal moments. As players progress, questions surrounding Alex’s condition, the strange world he finds himself in, and the significance of the events unfolding around him become the primary motivation to continue. The mystery is carefully preserved until the closing moments, encouraging players to piece together clues and interpretations throughout the adventure. The gameplay is intentionally simple. There are no battles, character upgrades, or complex mechanics to master. Instead, exploration and observation form the core of the experience. Players move through environments, interact with objects, and read dialogue that gradually reveals additional context about the story. This design choice makes the game accessible to anyone interested in narrative-driven experiences, though players seeking challenge or mechanical depth may find it lacking. The emphasis is clearly on understanding the characters and themes rather than overcoming gameplay obstacles. A notable aspect of the design is the importance placed on environmental interaction. Nearly every area contains details that expand the narrative or provide subtle hints regarding the larger mystery. Examining objects often rewards players with additional information, making curiosity an important part of the experience. This approach helps the relatively small game world feel more engaging, as even seemingly insignificant items can contribute to a fuller understanding of Alex’s journey. The story itself carries a personal quality that distinguishes it from many other RPG Maker titles. According to the developer, portions of the narrative and the protagonist’s appearance were inspired by real-life experiences. This influence gives the game a sense of sincerity that shines through despite its modest production values. Themes of regret, hope, escapism, and personal transformation are woven throughout the adventure, adding emotional weight to what might otherwise have been a straightforward fantasy tale. Visually, the game adopts a minimalist presentation typical of many projects created with RPG Maker. The graphics are functional rather than impressive, serving mainly as a vehicle for the story. While players expecting elaborate artwork or advanced visual effects may not be impressed, the simplicity fits the game’s focus on narrative. The atmosphere is carried more by the unfolding mystery and emotional undertones than by technical presentation. One of the game's strengths is its concise runtime. The entire experience can be completed in a single sitting, making it easy to enjoy without a major time commitment. The pacing remains steady because the game does not stretch its content unnecessarily. At the same time, the short duration means some players may wish for deeper character exploration or a more developed world. Nevertheless, the focused structure prevents the story from losing momentum and allows its central themes to remain clear. Additional hidden details and optional discoveries provide a reason to pay close attention during exploration. Small secrets, achievements, and extra interactions reward attentive players and add a layer of replay value. These elements are not extensive, but they contribute to making the experience feel more complete than its brief length might suggest. Ultimately, Simple Story - Alex succeeds as a heartfelt narrative project that prioritizes atmosphere and storytelling over gameplay complexity. It is not designed to compete with larger role-playing games or feature-rich adventures. Instead, it offers a compact, personal story that explores human flaws and the desire for change through a blend of realism and fantasy. While its presentation and mechanics remain basic, the emotional sincerity behind the narrative gives it a memorable quality. Players who appreciate story-centered indie games and character-driven mysteries will likely find value in its short but thoughtful journey. Rating: 6/10
Alex drank acetone instead of vodka and died. That's the story. It's like to the moon. Except it isn't.
A narrative game with this kind of localization is always a bad idea.
A small RPG-maker game, small screen, basic assets, lineair story, simple dialogue boxes, simple characters... and yet fun. At first I was almost put off by the crappy English, but it's worth seeing past that. The simple and sometimes bad English actually fits wonderfully with the simplicity of the game. While simple, the story does take on a heavy subject about life - but it does so with (Russian) humor and self-mockery. It took me 36 minutes to finish the game and I had a grin on my face all this time. This game is also a good showcase of what you can achieve solo and using mostly basic functionality of RPG maker (with a little help from a script writer). I do recommend this game. It's really worth the 99 cents, and even more so if you buy it during a discount period. I really liked this game.
