---
SilverQuest: Gaiden was originally started as "miniflake" in 2009, released as a solo project by I-GAME-ART, the game was launched into alpha state on a website called Desura, and later Steam. Wolfgame came on to do additional artwork and design in 2012. The goals were to create a deeply expandable roguelike with a classic black and white design.
Unfortunately, that did not come to plan as I-GAME-ART had to stop working on the game and games in general around 2012. Since then, the game has been frozen in time on Steam.
The current game and its source code will be released at a later date.
Thank you.

The devs have abandoned the game and left it in an unplayable state. There's no content and no goal. You can't progress your character and combat isn't functional. It hasn't been updated since March at the time of this writing and there's been no word about any further updates from the devs since August. Don't fall for this scam.
It could be a game it ever gets finished, but I doubt that will happen.
There is literally nothing in game now except monsters that do no damage and items that have no use, you can't even exit game normally. Ok, that's just early access and stuff. Dare i can write roguelike in python within 1 month including more features. Guess how you can add content and edit it? Recode it. Just finish the devs job, have fun there. Expecting them to add actual gameplay to "game". Recommending it for those who love they games in fetus pre-omega form.

It would've been a good game provided it would be finished. As for now we have a functioning but not playable game. Pros: - nice retro graphics - fine 8 bit music - old school feeling Cons: - character is not gaining XP - you cannot really examine items thus you don't know what's their purpose - no fullscreen or at least a window that you can change in size. -fullscreen command is not working with this one - no tutorial or something like that whatsoever Thus thumb down. If there would be an update or newer version to this game then I would play this one once again.
The graphics made my eyes water as I played ear stinging notes on a digital Lyre for a couple of minutes, read a few short books, then walked into a creature of some description (that I could not describe) which caused a fatal error that crashed the game. I am very excited to follow the development of this game , as it shows a certain promise in regards to implimentation of small + cool details alongside an interesting aesthetic + promised modularity.
Dont buy it.
Игра тупо неготовая как продукт. Сюжета нету, цели нету и смысла играть тоже. По крайней мере пока. И вообще, походу разраб забросил игру :(
SilverQuest: Gaiden is a mildly japanese (but not really) Hack/Rogue ripoff with monochrome fixed resolution graphics. First up, the game is abandoned, unfinished Early Access. As the title itself suggests, the developer has no idea what he's trying to accomplish here. The title also manages to very insultingly ripoff the AD&D Gold Box game art with their title, which is highly presumptious. The monochrome graphics are inexplicable, the same amount of effort could have been put into making decent, usable graphics. Of course, these would still look bad, the game uses lazy pixel art as the developer didn't have access to any artists. Due to that litany of problems, as well as an insultingly high price for an abandoned game, I cannot recommend. Steam should remove all unfinished Early Access titles from the store to punish developers who have no intention of following through.
Abandoned :(
