Don't bother with picking this up. Devs aren't working on it anymore. I bought the game back in April and played through it thinking the two types of guys I wanted were in the game (figured they were hidden and I had to play one route for them to show up.) only to find out they are via a DLC. The only problem is that the devs have apparently canceled any further production of the game which means the DLC is never coming out. Even though it's still listed on here as COMING SOON. Tried to get a refund because I just found all of this out and because I actually played through the game and went past the 2 hour time limit I am no longer able to refund it.
guys do not support this developer. They have never finished any game that they have done. They start one publish it, grab all the money and dissapear to appear with another new game.
MC is toxic af. Boyfriend displays some disturbing psychological issues as well. I do not recommend this if you're looking for something that makes you feel warm and fuzzy. You supposedly get a few personality choices early on, but my definition of "cheerful" would not generally include gas-lighting, avoidance of important conversations, and snipey comments. I've only played about 6 hours at this point and the game has made me feel like a horrible human being. Despite making efforts to choose what *seemed* like the more thoughtful or neutral paths, I ran into the problems of having no choice but to appease a hyper-abusive boss which set off the boyfriend's sudden abandonment issue-borne eating disorder. Suggestions of some serious therapy-deserving family issues? Yep. Plenty of that, as well. All this, in just the first few hours! You have no control over aspects of your background or work ethic. Am I going to keep playing? Probably, because I want to see if any character development can eventually happen (and I may have my own psychological issue with not finishing things). I'm not against changing my recommendation if future updates change things around, but I do not recommend this to anyone, especially people that are in need of healthy relationship models. This is NOT a good dating sim. Good points? There's some pretty good humor here and there... that's about it. A dating sim that I can suggest that is cute and has at least a few boyfriend choices that are healthier is a game called "Seduce Me: The Otome". The voice acting is quality, the art is cute and the writing is.. well.. grammatically amateurish, but a really good effort. Cheers!
There are routes missing. Fashionista and Thrill-seeker are supposed to be part of an expansion pack, yet the choices to make Beta Boyfriend a Fashionista or Thrill-seeker are still in the game. It is just a bit disappointing. Like why have the option if nothing happens? I did enjoy the routes I was able to play and I hope it continues to be developed further. But at the state it's in now, I don't recommend this game.
First of all I love the concept of this game! Shaping an artificial man it reminds me of chobits but gender reversed. -However the stat raising is very very very VERY barebones. I'm sorry to say but it's as useless and annoying as it is in dandelion. Another stat raising dating sim. It's a shame but maybe I'm used to being spoiled where the stat raising is more in depth, meaningful, and fun. Like in Princess Maker or Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side(Another stat raising dating sim Highly recommend) Of course this is an indie dev but if they wanted to go through a stat raising route. They should have implemented it better. Otherwise it just seems like it's padding similar to how it feels in Dandelion. -I'm also not a fan of the design choices for the guy they are either too costume or too basic, I wish all designs had a happy medium but of course this is just a personal preference - I wish it had a more concrete story as well. Even though the stat raising in Dandelion was terrible, and comes off as a slice of life (This game is slice of life). There was still an underlying story and a mystery to solve. Not that mystery is necessarily required.. just since the stat raising is so mediocre I would expect a nice story then at the very least -Lasty even though the recent updates as Mc Personalities (Because sorry to say originally MC's personality was pretty garbage) Being honest I am not a fan still. I just feel this MC does not fit for this sort of concept. Also how the mc is shrouded in mystery is really annoying. The mc isn't their own person, they have no sprite. The mc is me. I care about the boyfriend and uncovering a mystery involving him. Not me. If the mc was their own person, had their own sprites and fixed personality I wouldn't mind. -I wish this game took itself more seriously, you can still have a funny game and funny moments without coming off as mediocre. Think Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome. I couldn't recommend this game with the flaws outweighing the pros but I guess for 8$ maybe my expectations are high
MC with a very rude and off putting personality. I found the writing very amateur and boring. It's up their with Saints Row 2022 in terms of cringe-inducing writing. There was talk of an update and expansion but last I heard of it seems to be over a year ago. I just found it a slog to get through in the time I've spent with it. It's just a pile of cliches and and unlikable MC. Maybe I'll revisit someday if the update ever happens. 2025 Edit: That update never happened. MC is still awful af. I highly regret purchasing this.
I found the premise of this game interesting enough to give it a try. You get an order of a build-a-bear oh wait, I meant build a boyfriend lol. I wanted to see if you could let the boyfriend from a box become his own person without your influence. And well...sort of. I have to say the dialogues were very cringe worthy and a lot of it just didn't sit right with me at all. The main character is not customizable at all and is on top of that very unlikeable. The boyfriend seems somewhat okay but there are moments their relationship made me super uneasy. Especially before the finale where the boyfriend has a defect and has mood swings. The artwork is either a hit or a miss, the in game unlockable screens are pretty cute but the sprites themself could be better. But alas, art is subjective anyways. Overall, this dating sim doesn't really have a deep story as you might think, a lot of it is just grinding and building skills and money and what not. The most interesting "personas" were supposed to be released with the DLC that just never launched. The developer also doesn't seem to be active anymore. Kinda wish they would have at least put an explanation for their reasonings. According to other reviews this is a trend with this developer which sucks. I feel like this game had great potential and the execution is just meh.
Less than 20 minutes of playtime and requested a refund. I should have listened to the reviews warning that the MC was toxic and terrible. They really are. It reads like an angsty 14 year old, and they're downright rude. I don't want to be involved in a story where I'm forced to represent a character like that.
mmmhm. so i bought this bc the premise of it sounded unique. i feel bad but the writings not good enough to play more than once. i liked being able to pick my characters pronouns and etc. but beyond that it fell flat. the games clearly intended to played as a straight cis girl which was disappointing. like the one line where your character assumes a shopkeeper is straight and has a boyfriend? can't relate. ultimately it just feels like a way for the game to be marketed as inclusive when its not really in terms of actual story. also the protagonist is such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ at all times and is hard to like bc they have no chill whatsoever. i know they were probably modeled after your sterotypical anime protagonist (the kind where they're like "i cant and dont want to love anyone but if you wear me down enough i guess"). is there an ending where your synthetic boyfriend murders you? bc i want that pls.
