This is an unofficial fan work produced under the Touhou Project fan content guidelines. Touhou Project is the property of Team Shanghai Alice / ZUN.
You are MINORIKO AKI, Symbol of Abundance, one of the eight million gods! The field for harvest gods is particularly competitive, so the amount of faith you've been able to scrape together has been modest at best. However, your time to shine is fast approaching!
Gensokyo is growing! As more gods and youkai take refuge from the outside world in this sealed-off fantasy land, more humans are needed to sustain them; thus, many big-name youkai are taking an extended vacation to give the Human Village some breathing room to grow.
This is a big opportunity to increase your popularity! Conspiring with the Moriya Shrine, you aim to help the village expand by supplying it with as many healthy crops as your divine, dirty little hands can cultivate. Time to get to work!

Minoriko's Homestead Harvest is a traditional farm sim set against the colorful backdrop of Touhou Project's Gensokyo. Rather than trying to split the difference between casual players and those that enjoy a time management challenge, it offers two gameplay modes:
In Casual Mode, you have as much time each day as you like, and you can play at your own pace to complete the game by meeting certain story objectives.
In Serious Mode, each day has a time limit, and you have two in-game years to reach your goal of gathering enough faith through Minoriko's farming operation. Some additional hurdles to make resource management more robust are added as well.
There's more to planning out your farm than just aesthetics! You can't walk through your crops after they've sprouted, so you'll need to plan their placement with care, but your tools can upgrade their area of effect in many ways to suit whatever layout you please. You can build terraces to grow rice and other aquatic crops, as well as lay out an irrigation system through hoses and sprinklers with a variety of patterns. Players that enjoy a light engineering challenge will find themselves at home here.
Various side sources of income such as fishing and mining are available, but if you want some real excitement, head into Youkai Mountain's adventure zones for some shooting action and loot!
Minoriko needs YOUR help to be Gensokyo's #1 harvest god! If you're interested in a new farm sim with a fun setting, check out Minoriko's Homestead Harvest today!

It has Mystia in it
I got the game as a Christmas gift (Thanks again, Momster!). I did not want to buy it before, because I wanted to experience the full game. Well, I could not resist the call, and I played only a little, as I felt the danger of becoming hooked while I really want to experience all the story goodness of the full release. But then, after looking at the store page, I also felt the need to spread my enthusiasm for this, as I have been seeing a lot of lukewarm comments about Minoriko's being a decent game. This game is lovely and adorable. The art is all handmade and the characters have each different animations depicting what they are doing at that time of the day. It makes the arguably small game world so lively, so precious! The denizens also do not just stand there, nor do they wander randomly about, which gives a hint to the level of attention that went into the conception of this game. This also shows in the text. I must confess it might be the first Toho game I do not play in Japanese, and maybe it is not rare in the English Toho fandom? but that will not prevent me from lauding this game's script. I was surprised at how lively and well versed the writing was. Not only are the personalities beautifully expressed, but they are not pushed into your throat using language gimmicks or whatnots, but are depicted with a real care as to what makes them... well, characters. Finally, in its current state, the game works beautifully and only feels lacking a bit on expressing some of its concepts, as well as some utilitary things like an in-game map (although maybe you find one later on, I really did not play long). The control schemes takes a little time getting used to, as in about every game in this complicated genre, but it became second nature in a single hour of play. Ah, it also works perfectly on the Steam Deck, but do yourself a service and select 1x in the screen preference: it will make the game screen a bit smaller, but will prevent the ugly upscaling from butchering the lovely art. I cannot wait for the full release!

An enjoyable game. Repetitive in a good way. It’s always a pleasure to see your crops grow. Adventure mode is also really fun as it feels unique but still similar to actual Touhou games. This game is great if you’re a fan of farming sims or mountain of faith. Definitely heavily recommend this.
Pretty decent game so far, and gets updates often. Controls are a little weird. They're definitely made for controllers, although actually playing it with a controller is kinda painful (tested with both a DS4 Controller and a Switch Pro Controller). The movement is all digital inputs so the sticks really add nothing and it's easier to just use the keyboard. I implore you, add proper keyboard+mouse support.
Writing this review for version 0.9.5b, currently in Year 2 Summer 1 on Serious Mode. This game is reminiscent of older Harvest Moon entries in terms of general progression and gameplay loop. You tend to a crop farm, talk to residents daily to raise relationship levels, and forage for extra money or upgrades. If you try to min-max progression each day, you'll typically spend 10 hours per season. There's a few quality-of-life mechanics that polish up on small inconveniences. You won't pass out from hitting zero stamina, it simply causes you to perform your tasks much slower, which is great for maximizing your time each day. You can also have out-of-season crops not immediately die during the next one at the cost of low quality produce, so you won't be having an empty field on the last day of a non-winter season. I like the unique sprites for the residents doing their own stuff during their routines, and the current friend events can be very cute. While RNG-dependent, the game tries its best to have dialogue variety. I was surprised that each one-third of a season had a chance for a different line, and that Y2 seasonal dialogue was different from Y1 seasonal dialogue. Overall dialogue characterization is decent and relatively accurate to their general perception online. Will say though, there's two events that occurred in Y1 Spring that seemed like they would repeat every season but never did, though I'm assuming they're still in the works. The 'adventure' shmup minigame (I'd rate the difficulty as 'Normal') is a pretty fun take on item foraging that I'd take over combat in the mines, it's another way to minmax each day's schedule even with barely any stamina left once you learn the patterns. I would like it more if you could increase the difficulty for improved rewards to reduce RNG for getting crops instead of seeds, more ores, and tree branches. Also, I'm not sure if the 360-degree shots help at all, and the normal shot would've been nearly unusable without the lock-on feature which I didn't realize until my second attempt (I'm using a keyboard with arrow key movement). The fishing minigame is pretty fun, but you don't get much out of it aside from the occasional request and finding eels for Mystia. There isn't much progression for it either as I could purchase all the fishing upgrades at once before engaging with the mechanic at all, maybe you could lock these upgrades behind fishing-related tasks? Speaking of which, there's also a lack of records for you to look back on to view your accomplishments, which I think would compliment well with fishing records(species & amount), a shipping list, adventure mode stuff, and your total revenue throughout the seasons/years. I understand that there's a crow/rabbit mechanic that forces you to protect your crops, although I found this to be a very negligible threat with scarecrows and the new silver/gold fences, which did not require any upkeep. I was able to get enough resources by the end of my first Spring to surround the entire perimeter of the main farmland, and scarecrows entirely negate the crows. Never felt the urge to use the scarecrow hats either. Continuing from that, the difficulty of Serious Mode feels a bit too easy, and since your provided objectives only come every season, there ends up being a lot of downtime later on. I used all the Kappa Power on the 1-day brewers for profit when I still needed it, so by the end of my first Fall, money had become a negligible resource and there isn't much to spend it all on beyond that point, the only thing that is holding back your farm's growth is being timegated by copper ore. Stamina issues for upkeeping a larger farm can be negated by purchasing the 2-hour infinite stamina pills at a low price. While I understand that Winter content is a work in progress, the current Mining minigame doesn't feel fun or worth the time. Not every room generation seems possible to entirely clear out, which makes it less satisfying since it's better to just reroll for another room with easy pickings. The rewards for it are also pretty much nothing since it only gives a bit of money instead of items at all (it could've been another way to get more copper), which can be covered by either your chickens, or better yet, the much more engaging shmup minigame. Some small suggestions for other stuff. It would be great if I could disable my sprinklers by interacting with them to divert power to my auto-brewers during Winter, seeing that it's already possible with the greenhouses. Also, I think you can potentially get your character stuck due to collision between the chairs and table at the bar. Looking forward to doing the in-game festivals and decorating my house when this game comes out.
To say at first,I recommend this game, though it was still in early access. Honestly speaking, I'm Chinese and I always try the Touhou game in Chinese first. So why I noticed this game and play it? Because Chinese developers are developing a game just like this ,the same Aki sisters for heroine, the same formula that Touhou + Stardew Valley. They are continuously sending dev news and videos.I search the Internet for the information and find this game. The game I played is in early access. You are ahead of them, congratulations! In the early access, I saw the potential of this game to be a bestseller in Touhou. But it can have more improvement to be a better game.First, your early access should have a clear development roadmap that satisfy the potential players,Second, the stage of this game is set on the Youkai Mountain, more characters that have wide popularity can add in the game, like Aya and Hina, and the stage can be enlarged to more places such as Magical Forest ,Hakurei Shrine and Human Valley.People are willing to purchase it for a higher price.Last, Every character should have more plot and a story line,it's strongly connected to the evaluation of Touhou fans. In the end, though I can read, but WE NEED CHINESE! IT IS CRUCIAL TO US! Hope the game will be better and finally be a classic of Touhou fangame! In Sep.14th
《Touhou Farming ~ Minoriko's Homestead Harvest》

Great little farming sim with a nice set QoL upgrades over the standard stardew-em-up experience. A fun time even if you're not into touhou. And if you are hey check it out Momiji's shreaded 10/10 game of the year
