Easily one of the very best VN out there! In Sigh of the Abyss, there is no black or white: all characters you will meet are morally grey. The protagonist is interesting and her choices (*your* choices) will truly impact the story and what you will be. Speaking of the story, it is quite simple but very well-executed. It will keep you interested through all the game. Love interests feel not forced. The art, music and ambiance are great, and the occasionnal voice lines are very welcome and give more life to characters. There's a lot of lore, and the codex is a great addition to keep track of it, especially during the early-mid game. There is nothing much more to say. I highly enjoyed my journey as the Envoy!

this game was so fun, i really enjoyed the world and the character i played as. most importantly i enjoyed the romances, they were so fun. i do wish they were more fleshed out and i had more time with the romances, i feel like the characters fell in love a little too quickly but still overall i enjoyed the experience.

10/10 experience. Firstly, the artworks are just beautiful. This oil-painting style is really nice and sets the mood perfectly. The writing is on point and honestly better than a lot of VNs I’ve played. The mysteries are intriguing, and every major character feels distinct and interesting. There’s a great amount of choices.Some lead to new side quests, some just change interactions, and some lead into entirely different story outcomes! I was honestly surprised at how much could be changed, both in big and small ways. I also really love the romance! It’s very well written, super cute, and paced nicely so you’re never left waiting too long. Sylas is the best romance, fight me. :D

A great visual novel where your choices actually matter! It's also a very long game. It took around 16 hrs to playthrough this game once (and I'm a fast reader). I romanced Malec first and I really loved his romance. It's been a while since I finished the game, but I realised I never wrote a review so had to rectify this xD. I definitely am planning on replaying this game soon so I can tackle some different romances and endings. End game spoilers: [spoiler]Also 10/10 game for letting you talk/use an ancient water creature xD I loved that part so much. Also incredible twist with Ascanio. Did NOT see that coming xD [/spoiler]

Gorgeous art and interesting story. The pacing is on the slower side, but I wouldn't say it drags on too much. I think it makes sense for the story. Each character is quite distinct. It's been over a year since I've played, and I still remember the game quite vividly.

Good game lots of meaningful choices

Искал я как-то дейтсим, чтобы было красиво и не слишком тупил(а) ГГ. И нашел один такой. Да так нашел, что прямо утоп в нем: с интересным сюжетом, который существует даже в отрыве от романтики, да еще и не тупящей жГГ. Сюжет в чем: мы - жГГ - очухиваемся в луже крови черт знает где. Вокруг мертвые тела, вероятно, культистов, голова раскалывается, как с похмелья, и в ней еще звучит некий голос, взывающий в Бездне. Ну и вдогонку к нему еще какие-то шепотки со своими желаниями и стремлениями, которые почему-то хочется выполнить. Но бегать голышом нам дают недолго: пара довольно разных дам приходит, сообщает, что берт нас с собой, и уводит в тайный бехопасный дом в трущобах большого города. А дальше, как водится, все завертелось... В городе мы встречаем таких же, как мы - посланников Бездны. Разблокируем эмоции, которые влияют на поведение и отыгрыш; узнаем, как повысить статы и как их использовать; встречаемся с четырьмя ЛИ (две женщины, три мужчины) и еще кучей разного народа, как смертного, так и не очень. Сюжет движется арками, завязанными на исполнение желаний призвавших нас людей. Некоторые арки довольно длинные, другие - буквально пару строк (но это уже к концу). Есть несколько развилок, например, убить морского монстра или договориться с ним, которые очень сильно влияют не только на концовку, но и на ближайшее будущее. Также по ходу дела мы узнаем чуть больше о местной религии и что такое та самая Бездна, о которой мы читаем прям с пробуждения. И как это все взаимосвязано. Заодно получаем в лицо относительно ожидаемый вотэтоповорот, вытекающий из нового знания. Соответственно, узнав все это, решаем, хотим ли мы реализовать волю Бездны или не хотим. И тут важно: если не хотим, то с Бездной будет прмая конфронтация, исход которой зависит от того, как именно были разрешены желания душ, призвавших нас. Дальше спойлеры, но мне понравилось, это я могу сказать. Написана новелла очень хорошим языком, сюжет выдержан и логичен, ни разу не было такого, чтобы я прям орал в монитор ВТФ, как бывало с отомэ. Нет, есть, конечно, некоторые странные вещи, но это если прямо придираться. Арт - абсолютно восхитительный, любоваться и любоваться. Музыка приятная, но не запоминающаяся. Если хочется красивой сказки - очень рекомендую.
