Sid Meier's Pirates!

Between predatory EULA changes, performance issues, and no controller support, this game is a perfect example of why piracy is a service issue. Pirating a console version of the game will fix all of these issues.

Зачем нужна новая Цивилизация Сида Миера, когда в этой игре про пиратов из 2005 года уже есть всё что нужно для счастья? Политика и экономика, открытый мир размером с Карибское море с полной свободой действий, система времени и смены реальных исторических эпох, полноценный тактический морской симулятор, с захватами судов и даже осадой городов, куча РПГ-механик, симулятор жизни СИМС 3, с возможностью жениться и купить дом, а ещё квестовые миссии, файтинги, детективный сюжет, огромная реиграбельность и конечно же возможность грабить караваны! (точнее испанский золотой флот) И всё это органично совмещено в одну очень крутую игру. В далёкие времена играл на psp, но так и не прошёл до конца в виду бесконечных возможностей отыгрыша. Теперь играю на пк и собираюсь пройти на 100%!

Insane price for an ancient game that doesn't work out of the box on modern machines. Just crashes constantly even after applying fixes. What a joke.

The more that I played the new Black Flag, the more I wanted to come back and play this instead.

(pro-tip) if you're on a laptop, make sure it has a Number-pad, or you have a plugin one handy. lol other than that have fun sailing the high seas, discovering extended family was much larger than you realized, Dancing...*shivers* more than a Friday night stripper & the sweet sensation of kicking some spanish/french/dutch/english Bootie! arg

This is my favorite video game of all time. First played it on Apple IIgs. Then NES, Genesis, OG XBOX, Wii, and now back to PC. I love the amount of freedom that you have in the game. While there are points that you get in retirement, for the most part you just sail around the Caribbean and do what ever you want. Want to attack ships, attack ports, make money through trade, find buried treasure? Do whatever you want. I have played this game so much that I have played rounds where I try to end up with as few points as possible just to see how far you can go into negative point territory. Truly one of the greatest, if not the greatest sandbox game of all time.
