Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

couldnt play it. the graphics/text are too retro. returned.
If you liked Civ 5 and want a kind-of sequel, this is for you. Beyond Earth definitely lacks personality — the leaders are bland, the factions feel generic, and the menus and visuals are pretty sterile. It doesn’t have the charm or depth of something like Alpha Centauri, and even compared to Civ 5, it can feel a little soulless. That said, it’s still fun and something different. I picked it up on sale and felt it was worth the price. I love 4X games, so I’m probably biased, but I enjoyed my time with it. If you’re a fan of Civ and want to try a sci-fi spin on the formula, give it a shot — especially if you can grab it cheap or with the Rising Tide expansion.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I played this game when it first came out and thought it was enjoyable. 11 years later I'm ready to try the DLC
Maybe I just don't like Civ games.
I was really looking forward to Civilization: Beyond Earth, but the gameplay just isn’t fleshed out enough to carry the experience. The tech tree feels dull, the wonders are forgettable and nothing really comes together in a satisfying way. Honestly, the best part is the soundtrack. It’s so good I sometimes listen to it while doing other things. Unfortunately, the rest of the game feels more like a fan expansion for Civilization V than a true evolution of the series.
Better Than Civ 7
I bought it but never played it. I suddenly realized I had this thing, so I'll just feed it to the dogs
Suddenly, none of my Civilizations will load. Not Beyond Earth, or VI, V, VI. And I hate VII
This game is hard and mechanics are wonky. Would not recommend.
