Fun roguelike game with interesting bosses. Love the design of everything. Just wish there was some more variety with the enemies. It does have some bugs, but every new game does. One major bug I've noticed is at the mole shop if you click the toad to "forget a combat card" it pulls out your exploration cards instead. Sucked because it was like the one time I didn't need to remove anything from my exploration deck so I clicked the "nevermind" option. Waste of a food.
Fun gameplay but aesthetics set it apart.

I’ve played a lot of roguelike deck-builders, and Shroom and Gloom has really surprised me. It takes some familiar ideas from the genre and combines them with a unique style, great atmosphere, and gameplay that keeps you thinking about your next move. The combat and deck-building mechanics are easy to pick up but have a surprising amount of depth. Every run feels different, and there are a lot of interesting decisions to make along the way. I especially like how exploration, resource management, and combat all work together rather than feeling like completely separate systems. The art style and overall presentation really add to the experience. It has a quirky, dark, almost storybook feel that fits the game perfectly. Most importantly, I keep wanting to play one more run. That's always the best sign for a roguelike. This is one of those games that I think could become something really special as development continues. If you enjoy roguelikes, deck-builders, or strategy games, I definitely recommend giving Shroom and Gloom a shot. Highly recommended. I’m excited to see where the developers take this one.

Eat mushroom, place gunk on card, be happy. It's cheap, relatively unique in its genre, and fun even in early access, so go ahead and pick up a copy.
This game is a true delight of a deckbuilder. Beautifully drawn and satisfying combat. This one is worth playing at launch and the devs seem to only aim to make it even better.
