About
In an uninhabitable Siberian wilderness, in a wake of the October Revolution, a group of passengers survives the mysterious catastrophe of Trans-Siberian railway train. They must endure in a harsh ice-clad climate until rescue arrives. Facing many dangers, their own weaknesses and, above all, their own prejudice. People from different social classes have to unite and make decisions that often go against their beliefs, either by putting them to the test or by completely breaking them. Will they survive and at what cost is only up to the player.

The basic mechanics of the game will focus on the survival of the characters (meeting their needs, gathering resources, expanding the camp, taking care of security, exploring surroundings), but the player will quickly find out that in order to win, he needs much more: to learn the personality of the characters and work out relations between them, mitigating conflicts and taking care of the morale. You may choose to act selfish but it is cooperation that will allow you to win and keep a clear conscience.

In Help Will Come Tomorrow you will:
• Overcome class animosities between your party members in order to survive in an innovative class relations building system.
• Manage scarce resources and stay alive in frosty wilderness of Siberia before help arrives.
• Guide 9 unique characters coming from different social origins and grouping in three society classes
• Discover intimate stories and past of all party members
• Build and expand your own camp to increase the chances of survival
• Face dynamically changing weather conditions and unforgiving Siberian wildlife affecting survivors life.
• Experience in-game Event system based on characters relations and morale
• Immerse yourself in a touching story set in 1917 pre-Bolshevik Imperial Russia

I had a much smoother experience in this game after I learned the key mechanisms. Before that, the game really frustrated me. I have played two similar games called Siege Survival: Gloria Victis and This War of Mine. Each game took me about three tries to get the hang of it. But I found this game frustrating as a first timer. I did about eight tries and still could not survive. When I was about to be fed up, I searched for walkthrough videos on the internet, and one of them clearly explained the key mechanisms and really saved my day. By the way, the difficulty I chose was Survivor. In my opinion, the in-game tutorial fails to clearly explain the following key mechanisms:

It fails to emphasize the importance of Morale, to clearly inform players that high Morales can make up for statuses so that characters don't lose Action Points, and to hint that conversations at night can be helpful for boosting up Morales.
It fails to mention the powerfulness of the Fraternization action, which boosts up Characters' Morales and Camp Morale.
It fails to tell players that expedition is a lot more efficient when done by two characters rather than one character. During my first eigtht tries, I used one character to do expeditions because I was struggling with saving Action Points, and that unfortunately increased the possibility of getting lost.
It always highlights the Solid tab rather than the Makeshift tab when players are trying to build something. I think that's misleading because it gives a false impression that Solid is the way to go and Makeshift does not last long. In practice, Makeshift is actually fine. On my eight failed tries, I had a hard time trying to build Solid stuff due to insufficient materials.
After I watched the walkthrough video, from which I learned the aforementioned key mechanisms, playing the game is like a breeze. Also, all text throughout the game are uppercase, and I find it hard to read. Such a design is bad. Furthermore, the Turn Off Typing Animation option is unselected by default, and that makes no sense to me. The typing animation only makes reading text in the conversation bubbles more difficult. The option should have been selected by default. Although the gameplay became smooth to me after I learned the aforementioned key mechanisms from the walkthrough video, I still cannot recommend this game because its in-game tutorial does not help prevent frustrations for first timers. If the developers improve the in-game tutorial, I would modify my review and recommend this game. Besides, my game completed during the
evening
of Day
25
. During the daytime of that day, two of my characters went expedition and got lost, so they couldn't go back to the camp. But when the rescue came, the two characters were rescued, too, and the ending did not explain why. I felt that their getting lost did not connect well with the ending. The ending should have explained how the two characters were found.
"Help Will Come Tomorrow" is a challenging little game that is actually pretty decent. Developed by a Polish indie studio, it was surprising how well the developers knew and understood Russia's history and mannerisms. Like, you don't get that from history books or movies from that era. You must be in the know. I guessed they had Russians helping or advising them. Pretty well done. This game is very similar to "This War of Mine (2014)" but lacks the action and stealth game aspects but instead goes all-in into resource management. The story is told in a visual novel style. I prefer the 'show don't tell" approach but hey what can you do with an indie title that has to cut corners :/ I also wish there was voice acting, especially Russian with subtitles to further immerse the player! "Black Book" had old Russian language and dialect and it superbly elevated that work.. One can only wish.. The gameplay loop can get old pretty fast, raising difficulties can alleviate that. There are enough characters for at least 3 unique full runs. After that it would be a repeat and a min/max game. Hopefully they will make a sequel that is more refined and expanded. Will they call it: "Help Will Come: Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow" ? lol If you get it on SALE then definitely worth checking out!
I love games like this, and it is a good game. Unfortunately, it is too buggy. Sometimes you try to proceed to the next day, but you cannot. Your camp members just sit around the fire with nothing to say, and no option to continue appears. The main quest needed to actually finish the game can be buggy too. If someone dies while holding a particular plot item during exploration, tough luck. You cannot craft the item again, and it just stays out in the wild with no option to pick it up if you go back for it. The game does not tell you that it is basically game over, though, so you keep going and hope for a different outcome. As of now, I have had three runs. The first I lost due to genuine bad play on my part. The second ended because of a bug that simply would not let me continue, and the third was due to a character dying while holding a plot item. For 66% of my runs to fail because of bugs is pretty abysmal. The most frustrating part is that I think there is a genuinely fun game here.
Challenging, but interesting experience. Be sure to give it a shot!
Брал по рекомендации Стим как похожую на This War of Mine.
Help actually came!!!! Pretty solid survival game. There is a lot of chatting at the campfires, so it may be better for people who like reading and want to learn more about the characters.
