About
Ships At Sea is a next-generation maritime and ship simulator set in the Norwegian Sea, featuring single-player, online co-op multiplayer, and dedicated server support. Build your maritime career through commercial fishing, cargo transport, service vessel operations, and a wide range of authentic maritime activities while progressing through multiple vessel classes.
Developed by Misc Games, creators of the popular Fishing: North Atlantic and Fishing: Barents Sea franchises, Ships At Sea allows players to explore a highly detailed open-world recreation of the Lofoten region of Norway. Visit ports and harbours, manage your fleet through fully accessible shipyard and dry dock facilities, upgrade and maintain vessels, purchase equipment, and work your way toward larger and more advanced ships.
Start your journey with smaller boats and gradually unlock increasingly capable vessels as you transport cargo, operate fishing equipment, support fish farming operations, and take on maritime service activities. Play alone or with friends, create a company together, share resources, work on the same vessel, or operate independently within a shared multiplayer world.
The game currently features 13 playable boats and ships across multiple vessel classes, including the first Class 4 offshore wind farm support vessel. Upcoming updates will expand Class 4 gameplay with ferry operations, crab and lobster fishing, while future development will introduce Class 5 vessels, additional maritime industries, and new activities across the Norwegian Sea.
Operate fully functional wheelhouse instruments and vessel systems designed around authentic maritime workflows. Whether navigating through dense fog, rough seas, or challenging weather conditions, every voyage requires planning, skill, and coordination.
Ships At Sea combines Nvidia WaveWorks ocean simulation technology with our own physically based buoyancy system to deliver realistic vessel handling and an immersive maritime environment. Dynamic weather systems, weather forecasts, storms, fog, rain, and changing sea states ensure that no two journeys feel the same.
Building on the realism of our previous titles, Ships At Sea features licensed vessels, equipment, and navigation systems from real-world maritime, offshore, and fishing industry partners. Combined with stunning visuals, realistic environments, and authentic maritime operations, the game aims to deliver one of the most comprehensive maritime simulation experiences available.
Embark on your maritime career, build your company, command an expanding fleet of vessels, and carve your path across the seas of Northern Norway in a living open-world maritime and ship simulator.

It fun
i saw this game 2y ago, and finally tried it now, i am impressed how much it improved, the UI, the quests and everything feels more refined the game is so much fun, good vibes and graphics, BUT THE RADIO IS GREATEST ADDITION imccrying, want to see more customization for a character also im a big Star Citizen fan, and this gives me same vibe of open world or like a truck sim but with Ships, i want to see more different ships and yachts and other small tier 2-3 boats, as well as more big boys! I hope we get more ships that can do more than a single job, like i absolutely love the looks of some ships but they are doing smtg im not too fond of, for example i want a cool looking cargo ship but imho the big one isnt as cool as the Service one
It's kinda fun. One of those games you can play ten minutes then work for a while while you get to dock and then another ten minutes unloading/loading (there are other things to do, I just haven't got there yet). Graphics are pleasing, although I hope they are able to make the windows waterproof at some point so the sea doesn't splash into the cabin. I'd like to see better nautical charts, tides and other things, but it's a great start for a new game.
El Juego está bastante completo para ser un acceso anticipado, y se pueden hacer varias actividades dentro del juego. Desde la fecha de salida hasta ahora, es una mejora considerable y es muy jugable y disfrutable.
Schönes Spiel
I decided to check this game out again after a couple of game updates. I can't get the GPS navigation to work, it keeps on saying "Can't place vavigation as it would mean going over land" even though I was going away from land. Their previous game Shipping NOrth Atlantic was better than this one. At this stage I would not recommend this game in it's current form.
Yes, development of a game can be frustrating, hitting obstacles you wouldn't expect and meeting the players expectations is quite hard. This simulator is out there for a while now and it came a pretty long way. The first time I played it, you couldn't do much except float around a bit. Now there's missions, lots of new ships, bigger ships, more variety and official hardware manufacturing partners joined the show. For some people this takes too long, I get that, but to give it a negative review despite all the work that flows into this every day is unfair. Give it time, it will be good.
This game has a lot of really great things, and yes, a few things that could use some work. The graphics and customizable weather is great, and there are plenty of missions to keep you busy. I do think the progression is a bit slow, and it can be a long haul progressing in early game, big jump in ships from easy to attain tier one ships that cost ~50,000 krone to teir two ships that cost a million dollars, especially when the biggest multi hour cargo missions pay $65,000. That is pretty much my only gripe. It also seems that the save data from an online game with friends does not save, or maybe I just cant figure out how to save it yet. Overall, a great game and excited to watch the development progress
Game is buggy and could use some QoL updates, as well as some optimization, BUT... To my surprise devs are very responsive and actively use Discussions. They track issues and respond very quickly. Overall it's good when you don't encounter issues, really a step up from Fishing NA, especially with water that doesn't feel like a resized puddle anymore. I'm yet to try fishing but every aspect of the game is promising. I hope they keep working on it as this game has the potential to become the ultimate naval sim. Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm is still my favorite for naval fishing, but this game has a potential to take it's place in the long run. Thanks devs, please keep working on it, I really hope this game succeeds and appreciated by all naval sim fans.
Its a Great Game, with allot of potential. and the devs are allways working on new content. there is allso a discord where they are very active and with good members that are very helpfull.
