Reawaken your inner demon in a modernized version of the acclaimed ATLUS classic, Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Aug 10 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 25: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The game is good but this port is pretty bad, it sell you some stuff in pieces (DLC) and the game tend to crash a lot.
RPGの中では最強に難しく、面白いと思う。HARDモードでやるのをお勧めします。 一旦、50%でチュートリアルをクリアしましょう。
When it comes to describing Nocturne in a few words, its really hard to do so. This game is not for everyone, but for me, it might be my favorite of all time. Through all the outdated mechanics and steep learning curve, (♥♥♥♥ you Matador) I found a game that captured the dread of the apocalypse, the fear of knowing nothing of a new world, and how scary it can be to think about what you want from the world. This game is made to make you think. And it is beautiful through it all. Truly an amazing game that will never get old, or take advantage of my innate gullibility.
Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne would never take advantage of our innate gullibility.
The original PS2 version ran at 60 FPS, this one is capped at 30! (Maybe this can be unlocked via mods at this point) What a shame. At least the dialogue was touched up to be closer to the japanese dialogue in this release. As for the game itself, it goes toe-to-toe with FFX, and even outclasses it at some points. Atmosphere, monster design, everything just sucks you in further and further into the world. Some of these demon designs are outrageous! Some of the craziest things you will ever see. But that's part of what makes this game so cool. If you enjoy apocalyptic settings, you'll enjoy exploring in this game. A large part of the game consists of you running around dungeons and recruiting/killing demons. The recruitment part is very tricky and requires lots of patience, but later on your demons gain skills that make the process easier. There is also the famous fusion system here, which will undoubtedly excite most players. You can fuse two demons into a single demon which inherits the skills and some stats of the fused demons. This process can create some pretty OP setups if you are patient enough. This game introduces the Press Turn system in battles, which has become a staple in all the following Megami Tensei games. This system is totally abusable by design and can make battles a breeze if you strategize well enough. You will enjoy getting the most out of hitting enemy weaknesses to extend your turn as long as possible (which the enemy will also do to you, ESPECIALLY on Hard mode) Dungeons in this game are typical JRPG fare, lots of cryptic directions on where to go exactly in the dungeons and sometimes even where to go next to progress the story, which is honestly the worst part of this game. I will say after getting through all the annoying cryptic sections, you will have a good time playing the game. It's probably a given that you will have to reference a gamefaqs text guide multiple times to complete the game. It's an annoying issue, although not really that bad in the end. If you experiment and play naturally the game is usually pretty fair. In the end it's a hardcore experience, but one that is good enough to be worth your time. It was one of my favorite JRPGs back on the PS2, of which I paid $100 for in aftermarket sale, and went for the true ending on my first playthrough, and it felt very worth it even after paying that much. The extra characters are also pretty cool (although Dante kinda gets outclassed in the true ending as you get the more powerful demons) Highly recommend this game if you like Pokemon and are willing to dedicate yourself to clearing some pretty confusing dungeons. It's an experience that asks a lot of you, but also gives a lot in return. A 10/10 game if you are a dedicated player.

I really wish Steam had a "Mixed" review option, because I genuinely enjoyed this game, but this PC port is one of the most frustratingly bad ports I've ever played. My biggest complaint is the music in this game as I installed a patch to fix it pretty late into the game and I was honestly tempted to restart my playthrough all over just to enjoy the music, because it is a really great soundtrack but it's compressed to the point where some instruments are straight up GONE. The game itself is absolutely worth playing, but this port does it no favors. Between the compressed soundtrack and other rough edges, it often feels like the PC version didn't get the care it deserved. If you're planning to play this version, I strongly recommend following this guide first to fix some of the port's biggest problems: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3622285991 To put it short: I had my fun with this game, but I feel like it could've been better if I had just patched the game. Please don't be like me and wait till the last stretch mark to patch your game.
