Great game. I wish there was more main missions. The story got me invested and moral dilemas got me thinking. I like how there is no clear perpetrator to most main crimes and you have to wonder, if you made the right decision. I wish they made more Sherlock games like this.

Though the story this game tells is decidedly non-Sherlock, I still think it's fantastic. I found the character drama rather gripping. And discovering the Isle of Cordona really does make you feel like a child. The worldbuilding also lets you discover a true 19th century British colony, It includes many interesting and historically plausible setting. Except for the refugee arc, in which the population of Cordona appears to gain a unified national identity and a firm opposition to racism in order to facilitate a pro-refugee political message. The mysteries are good, but some are hard. Be aware though that you will not be told if you were right. There are canonical correct choices, but knowing them requires metagaming. At times, reaching the correct conclusion will require some pretty extreme scrutiny of one specific statement made by a character, or of a specific minor skills that the culprit may have. This is all a bit harsh, but on the upside, you'll definitely feel like Sherlock if you do manage to figure it out.

This game sucks. Every 5 minutes I take 10 minutes just to figure out what I must do next. The story and quests are so bland and boring. Other Frogware games are way better and better guided.

I bought this game on sale after reading other comments about how the open-world aspect made it bad. But, to my surprise, I actually found it to be a really fun and intriguing game, packed with so many cases to solve! I genuinely felt like a real detective from start to finish, which I think is one of the most important things for a game like this to get right. Despite its flaws, the investigation and detective work really pulled me in and made the experience enjoyable.

Un jeu sympathique, le premier auquel je jouais de la série. J'ai bien aimé le système d'enquête, les indices semblent cohérents. L'exploration de la ville peut être amusante, mais n'apporte pas grand chose non plus (la chasse au trésor était tout de même amusante). L'histoire en elle même était bonne de mon point de vue. Le système combat est en soit passable, même si très redondant. Pour ce qui est des points négatifs, je trouvais certaines fins trop ouvertes (on a l'impression que n'importe qui aurait pu faire le coup tellement ils se défendent pas si on les accusent), et parfois certains indices importants n'ont aucun explication. La relation avec Jon est étrange, il va se mettre à nous détester si on ne fait que des actions qu'il n'approuve pas (ce qui influence seulement légèrement la fin), mais du coup on peut un peu se demander ce que ça fait là. Malgré tout, certaines des interactions avec lui sont bien amusantes. Pour moi, un jeu que je recommande, il est loin d'être parfait, mais ça fait toujours plaisir d'y jouer.

Stutter fest, have no time for it. Also don't like how the game handles conclusions and needing to 'pin' evidence before it being usable in any sense. DIdn't get further enough to develop anymore gripes. The graphics are beautiful but interrupted constantly by the stutters.
