About
Shelves And Sorcery is a relaxing fantasy organization game about turning absolute chaos back into order.
Weapons, potions, spellbooks, fruits, vegetables, magical curiosities, and thousands of other items have been scattered throughout three fantasy shops. Pick everything up, find where it belongs, and slowly watch each shop return to the way it was meant to be.
Take your time and enjoy the satisfaction of putting everything in its place, or learn every corner of the shop and race against players around the world for the fastest time.
Choose from three shops of dramatically different sizes, each with its own setting, atmosphere, and challenge. Then return to them in four different modes, whether you want to relax, chase the fastest time, wield every bit of magic from the start, or organize without magic at all.
• Casual Mode – No timer and no pressure. Take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, and organize every shelf at your own pace.
• Timed Mode – Race against the clock and compete on the global leaderboards. Learn where every item belongs, master your Sorceries and Enchantments, perfect your route, and keep pushing for a faster time.
• Archmage Mode – Start with every Sorcery and Enchantment already unlocked. Take on the entire shop at full magical strength and see just how powerful an experienced shopkeeper can be.
• No Magic Mode – The magic of the world has escaped. No Sorceries. No Enchantments. No magical shortcuts. Just you, thousands of misplaced items, and the knowledge you've gained along the way.
1,000+ items to organize
A cozy shop tucked away in the quiet village of Burg. Once a welcoming stop for locals and passing adventurers, its shelves have fallen into disarray. With 1,048 items to restore, it's a comfortable introduction to the satisfying world of organizing.
3,000+ items to organize
A well-loved shop in the bustling market town of Stonebridge, built through years of honest work by its humble merchant. With 3,085 misplaced items, restoring The Merchant's Rest offers a much larger challenge with plenty of shelves waiting to be put right.
4,000+ items to organize
High above the clouds on the floating isle of Vane stands a legendary shop filled with magical treasures from across the world. With 4,066 items scattered throughout, The Grand Athenaeum is the largest challenge of them all. Take your time restoring it, or master every shelf and chase the fastest time.
Thankfully, you don't have to organize thousands of magical objects entirely by hand.
As you make progress, unlock Sorceries designed to help you tackle the mess.
Gather matching items from around the shop, reveal objects you've been struggling to find, or use magic to send items toward the shelves where they belong.
The more you organize, the more powerful your magical toolkit becomes.
Magic isn't limited to spells.
Unlock Enchantments that permanently improve your abilities and change how you move through each shop.
Carry more items at once. Increase your reach. Move faster. Jump higher. Eventually, even take to the air.
Combined with your Sorceries, these abilities can turn an experienced shopkeeper into an organizing force of nature and become an important part of chasing faster times.
Whether you're carefully organizing The Hearth & Barrel after a long day, working your way through the thousands of items inside The Merchant's Rest, or fighting for a place on the leaderboard in The Grand Athenaeum, Shelves And Sorcery is built around one simple satisfaction:
Finding where something belongs...
and finally putting it there.

Fun and entertaining game!
TLDR: 7/10, worth the price, was fun for an organisation game. More variety than Arcane Library, but not as polished. AL still wins imo. Less spells than Arcane Library, could use with more to unlock to help things out. More or less the same game modes as AL: No magic / Full magic. With an extra timed mode that was always running in the background in AL instead of a separate mode here. Bit of jank here and there, i appreciate the lost items summon that pulls anything that fell out of the map back into the game. This feature seems to be running in the background automatically as well when i notice areas behind me i know ive gotten item types from and that same item variety is in the exact same spot as what i picked up, good way of moderating system resources. Physics dont apply like AL once everything is settled. Though a recent patch did seemingly add temporary physics for items in piles that make them collapse to settle after objects are pulled underneath. I also appreciate the new feature they just patched in for Arcane Sight showing you now, not before, but now you can see where objects that match are also currently stored as well as on ground/in hand, bit buggy still though. Like AL i would like more than just an asset flip, but whereas AL put thought into all their book titles and covers (very nice), here it feels very basic and is more obviously an asset flip with everything because of the variety. I like these sorts of games but i still feel nothing tops Arcane Library. I do appreciate the variety though but i would like more features and modes and just general effort into the game if you are going to use AI to generate things. Prompts do great work for the AI prompter who knows how to use them. Full price was cheap as most ai games are now, was good enough for the price. Achievement hunters will be annoyed to find out that you cant double up modes to run achievements because you have to play normally before you unlock the modes and each one seems exclusionary to each other.

Real chunky sorting game, all said quite average but really long. The length is due to the amount of gamemodes, as each of the three levels effectively needs to be played four times to cap out achievements which gets a little egregious. Difference between second and third stage is somewhat negligible and the first one is basically a tutorial level, so it really feels like it stretches itself thin in some aspects. Because there's such a broad range of items to sort, they're not all born equal. Books and potions are contentious in the reviews. This is in part because of the lack of physical labeling on the assets also in great part because they don't actually fit nicely on the shelves, there's no real, good way to categorize them that makes sense and is visually which puts a damper on the fun of actually sorting it all out. UI promises a multiplayer mode and I'm looking forward to it. It's a good time waster that does unfortunately lack that tiny bit of extra depth to make it fully compelling, and could use a better layout for shelves should it ever get new levels.
i might be a little happy to not see a potion bottle for a while, but this is one of the best in this genre that ive seen thus far. no ai, multiple levels with varying difficulties and modes, and the ability to place and organize as you see fit. supremely satisfying and fun.
Best game of this type I've played (Librarian I'd rank second, and Cellar Keeper dead last). It seems thoughtfully detailed - weapon and book names with nods to fantasy games, memes, or just humorous. For me, most fun was organizing the books of all things. Did that part "by hand" each time lol. The different "modes" for each level (along with the steam achievements for each) give it loads of replayability.
Simple concept but absolutely nails it. It tickles my brain to sort the things.
It's what it says on the tin--tidying three different shops with increasing amounts of stuff. It's relaxing and lovely as a tidying game with background music (which you can change by clicking on the harp, or turn down to have your own stuff playing), but it's also filled with Easter eggs. There are several Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle nods, fabulously just-off-kilter names for various produce, and several books that I actually want to read. The controls are a little finicky in terms of how directly on an object you have to be to pick it up or place it and it took me a minute to figure out how the enchantments are accessed, but I happily spent many hours shelving things in this. If you're into organizational games, it's that.
This game is an amazing tidy up game. As a bonus, it looks amazing, has great music and even global rankings for the more competitive players.
I really love the game!: Timed Mode is not a race against time, but just getting your own besttime is a VERY good choice, props to the team! The homeward spell is AMAZING A lot of item variety! But, not to glaze the game, there are issues to bring up: Some items look IDENTICAL. Some herbs, some wool bundles, some metals and crystals, but above all, the main category with that issue... the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. BOOKS Please, I don't need another level or ability nerfs/buffs. I just want the books to ACTUALLY look different. I think TOO many use the same "Book of Magic" texture, and actually finding them and sorting them is a pain in the rear
