About
Shelves And Sorcery is a relaxing fantasy organization game about turning absolute chaos back into order.
Weapons, potions, spellbooks, fruits, vegetables, magical curiosities, and thousands of other items have been scattered throughout three fantasy shops. Pick everything up, find where it belongs, and slowly watch each shop return to the way it was meant to be.
Take your time and enjoy the satisfaction of putting everything in its place, or learn every corner of the shop and race against players around the world for the fastest time.
Choose from three shops of dramatically different sizes, each with its own setting, atmosphere, and challenge. Then return to them in four different modes, whether you want to relax, chase the fastest time, wield every bit of magic from the start, or organize without magic at all.
• Casual Mode – No timer and no pressure. Take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, and organize every shelf at your own pace.
• Timed Mode – Race against the clock and compete on the global leaderboards. Learn where every item belongs, master your Sorceries and Enchantments, perfect your route, and keep pushing for a faster time.
• Archmage Mode – Start with every Sorcery and Enchantment already unlocked. Take on the entire shop at full magical strength and see just how powerful an experienced shopkeeper can be.
• No Magic Mode – The magic of the world has escaped. No Sorceries. No Enchantments. No magical shortcuts. Just you, thousands of misplaced items, and the knowledge you've gained along the way.
1,000+ items to organize
A cozy shop tucked away in the quiet village of Burg. Once a welcoming stop for locals and passing adventurers, its shelves have fallen into disarray. With 1,048 items to restore, it's a comfortable introduction to the satisfying world of organizing.
3,000+ items to organize
A well-loved shop in the bustling market town of Stonebridge, built through years of honest work by its humble merchant. With 3,085 misplaced items, restoring The Merchant's Rest offers a much larger challenge with plenty of shelves waiting to be put right.
4,000+ items to organize
High above the clouds on the floating isle of Vane stands a legendary shop filled with magical treasures from across the world. With 4,066 items scattered throughout, The Grand Athenaeum is the largest challenge of them all. Take your time restoring it, or master every shelf and chase the fastest time.
Thankfully, you don't have to organize thousands of magical objects entirely by hand.
As you make progress, unlock Sorceries designed to help you tackle the mess.
Gather matching items from around the shop, reveal objects you've been struggling to find, or use magic to send items toward the shelves where they belong.
The more you organize, the more powerful your magical toolkit becomes.
Magic isn't limited to spells.
Unlock Enchantments that permanently improve your abilities and change how you move through each shop.
Carry more items at once. Increase your reach. Move faster. Jump higher. Eventually, even take to the air.
Combined with your Sorceries, these abilities can turn an experienced shopkeeper into an organizing force of nature and become an important part of chasing faster times.
Whether you're carefully organizing The Hearth & Barrel after a long day, working your way through the thousands of items inside The Merchant's Rest, or fighting for a place on the leaderboard in The Grand Athenaeum, Shelves And Sorcery is built around one simple satisfaction:
Finding where something belongs...
and finally putting it there.

this game has a problem. It's trying to be like the other sorting games, and then 1-up them. However they miss the mark on some of the most fundamental levels. The items... All items are just dumped on the floor, and while that part "sounds" fine, all items look very VERY different despite needing to go to the same stands. And many other items look way too similar, despite needing to go to completely different stands. And when you pick up items, it's very hard to see where you need to place them at a moment's notice. It feels like the variety of items were just an afterthought. They must have just picked a bunch of assets and thought "yeah, this looks cool", and then just add it. even when it does not match the rest. The problem with games like these, is that the fundamental core gameplay needs to be near perfect in order to allow yourself to go the extra mile and spend 20+ hours hand sorting stuff. But this game is not at that level. The font/location of all prompts are not satisfying or easy enough. The enviroment is not cozy or comfortable. It feels the devs grabbed some default assets and were like "yeah, that's good enough" and called it a day. Even basic things like controls missed the mark. Whose idea was it, to make the same button for placing an item, to also be the same button to drop/discard an item? I get the reasoning behind it, but that's probably done because they were too lazy to place an indicator that shows where you would be placing the item if you hit the right button. Instead, I could end up vomiting 15 items into the wrong stand, and then need to pick it all up again. The thing that I DID like, was that there were multiple levels. But once again, when the base gameplay does not hit the mark, having more maps does not make the game more fun. The game is fun if you've never played any of the other sorting games such as "cellar keeper" or "Librarian". But once you've played others, you see how this game is just way below those standards. If there was an "OK" rating for this game, cool. But this game does not deserve an "overwhelmingly positive" rating. Positive, certainly. But not with how many corners were cut.

I really like this game Just pickup, sort and put things away. The graphics are beautiful. The music score nice and plays softly in background. There are various setting to play as you like. I hope Devs add more shops (levels) in the future. There are 3 with purchase of the game and each shop is bigger than the last. Recommend this for all ages and family.
good game
Bought this because I enjoy the tidy games genre. All hours currently played on my profile are from my 4-year-old. She’s taken over the game and loves it. Did it take 4ish (painful for mama) hours to do the first store? Yes! Are we only 65ish items into the second one and I’m dreading my life choices? Also yes. But the game play loop is conducive to her learning controls where other attempts have been frustrating. I initially made “piles” in front of the correct shelf so she just had to do a couple buttons and one joystick. Now she’s doing nearly everything including using the powers (or just refusing to use Homeward because putting things away herself is “more fun”), and mastering two-joystick movement. It’s a joy to see her confidently playing the game. 10/10, will definitely wish list any future tidy games from this company.
So far the best one of these new kinds of sorting games really enjoyed it. In addition I would like to highlight the quality of this game compared to the AI assisted slop people have been pumping out.
Everything about the books needs to change, especially the label font sizes.
cute cozy a bit chaotic and overwhelming but equally a nice way to wind down after more intense games.
I saw this game in the news from Teddy’s Haven's developer, and wanted to support them. And I really enjoyed the game! It’s great that there are three difficulty levels, each with different content and decorations. There are loads of different magical items, which really makes you feel like a shopkeeper in a fantasy world :) The controls are smooth and comfortable; I didn’t encounter any bugs. I’ve spent a few cosy evenings playing this game and would happily play some more if new content were to be released. I think fans of the Library atmosphere and other sorting games will enjoy it. I definitely recommend the game :>
This is definitely fun without being too difficult. Just wish there was a save button. I haven't noticed an autosave icon during gameplay.
I've played this repeatedly since I got it and feel that it is worth every second. I enjoyed the gameplay itself, the music was charming and relaxing, and I found myself laughing over the item names (to the point of calling my partner over repeatedly to look). I'll keep Shelves and Sorcery in my roster for a long time.
