About
shapez is a low-stakes factory building game all about the automation of shapes production. Extract basic shapes with miners, cut them into segments and combine them into brand-new, unique shapes. Stack multiple layers of different shapes on top of each other & deliver them to the HUB to advance!
As you progress, new buildings are unlocked and the required shapes become more complex. Extract paint and use them to color your shapes. Spread out across the infinite sandbox to acquire different shapes and increase your production.
Leverage copy-paste tools to massively expand your factory as demand increases and shapes get more complex. Mix paint to create new colors, stack many layers of shapes and increase throughput as necessary. After all, it’s not an idle game!
Get creative with optional wiring & logic to optimize your factory to your liking and maybe even make a powerful machine that can make every shape possible.
With no enemies, timers or resource limits to worry about, shapez is a game that allows you to take on factory building at your own pace while progressively tackling more complex levels, if you’re looking for a challenge.

This game is, just, okay. The part of me that wants to do math hates this game for its upgrade system that allows you to accelerate anything after its built, and the respective free-ness of machines. It makes any throughput optimization feel temporary and ♥♥♥♥♥♥. And, much of the game relies on you doing throughput optimization that does not hold up. Idk I'll stick to gregtech.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

i genuinely wish i could enjoy this ♥♥♥♥. i can't help but feel like, at least in the start, there's just... not much reward. i only got through the first few levels before i started asking myself "what was the point of my previous steps AT ALL?". if this game somehow tries to answer that later it clearly failed at making it feel worth the effort from the start. it felt completely pointless to scale up the factory beyond just getting to the next shape, and in that case what's the point of trying to optimize production? getting tiers slightly faster and more "number go up"? there's no feeling of reward at all. compared to something like Mindustry or Factorio, this doesn't hit any similar sort of clear progression. if you had to actually use your resources instead of just "collect them lol", sure i could get behind that, but it's completely absent. maybe i'll return to this later to see if i'm really missing anything but yeah, i'm quite disappointed. at least from what it looks like, shapez 2 does a better job, so i might give that a shot instead when i have the chance.

너무 졸려요... 공장겜이 저랑 맞지 않나봐요. 모바일로 할 걸 그랬어요. 그래도 입문하기 좋은 공장겜이었어요. 덕분에 새티스팩토리랑 엔드필드 적응했어요.
Muy tea el juego, pero esta bueno
