the gamepad dont really react, very bad gameplay..... looks good but not playable at all

Worth it on sale. dont expect Street fighter/Mortal Kombat levels of polish, Its Janky but charming, an Indie love letter to 70s-90s martial arts films. not to be taken seriously as a fighting game and compare it to the likes of Tekken etc. Its a casual fun fighting game created by a single Dev with a passion for old action movies, admirable in its own right.

Game is great! Reminds me a lot of a PS1 game called Kensei: Sacred Fist. Shaolin vs Wutang offers like 6 or so game modes (the usual. Training, arcade, etc), like 50 or so characters (no joke, I don't even know how many there are but there's A LOT of them) and like 20 or so stages (majority are set in China). It pays homage to all them classic Martial Art films of the 70's, 80's and 90's. The soundtrack is pretty cool and it really does capture it's vibes. Each character uses a different fighting style and a different weapon. At first glance there are no copies but there are a few lookalikes with similar fighting styles but all of them play different from each other, when it comes to their movelist (you watch all of them perform diffferent stuff, that is). But the basic core of the gameplay doesn't really change. Even though it has a bit of strategy in it, it's, in the end, just a mash fest 9/10 times. So beware if you want more depth. Graphics are rather odd but charming. Looks like it came straight from a smartphone store but it also looks like an upscaled Wii game, at the same time. If you apply the film grain filter and remove all the HUD everything ends up looking pretty artsy, almost realistic, though. And it seems the game was made by a single individual, so there's that. Honestly, it takes real skill and real patience to deliver such a project, by yourself. So keep up with the great work, developer! We need more people like you in the industry without a shadow of a doubt!

Reason to buy this game. It's aesthetically enjoyable. That's it. Do not buy this for gameplay. The visuals, music, sounds, stages, and character design are all reminiscent of classic martial arts movies. This game is basically an homage to those movies and their cast. I got this and the sequel as a package for less than $4 during the summer sale. Easily worth it to enjoy looking at what you're doing on the screen. The controls work fine. The moves I intended to do come out without any real problems. The gameplay is where this game falls short. It feels like a bad 90s Mortal Kombat clone. Hitboxes or stun doesn't feel consistent or intuitive. Spacing or priority doesn't feel like much of a consideration. Don't get this game expecting polished combat. But do get this to acknowledge the developer's passion and effort. If you're hitting the opponent, appreciate how cool it looks. If they are hitting you, also appreciate it. If you have some fighting game experience, play around with moves and attempt combos and enjoy the view. Or a casual player can button mash and enjoy a nice spectacle. This game is overall enjoyable so I can honestly recommend it.

The game has good graphics for the price and there are 30 characters to choose. Worth the price if you like martial arts

If you like old school, 1 v 1, street fighter esque video games then this is a must buy. All your favourite 70's and 80's chop socky movie heroes are here, if not in name, definitely in appearance and fighting style. The mocap, character models and animations are excellent, particularly given the budget and size of the team. Highly recommend.

Note : 5/20 — Sans intérêt. Pourquoi j’ai acheté ça… sérieusement ? 😭 Le jeu est catastrophique : ça lag, les animations sont cassées, le gameplay est mauvais, les bruitages sont horribles et les graphismes ne relèvent rien. Franchement, je préfère encore jouer à Garfield Kart, c’est dire. Bref, tout est nul. N’achetez pas ça, c’est littéralement de l’argent jeté par la fenêtre. 💸

Although I haven't played very much, I think it's a fantastic game. it's very very good. If you're a sucker for old Kung Fu movies like me, pick it up. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
