Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've spent a lot of hours into this game. I love me some Detective games what makes this game so different is that like most Detective Games, Shadows of Doubt is not on rails while I love those games too, procedural generated city woth random NPCs and random Serial Killers. I get some loading issues here and there and bugs that can take away the Noir-Crime Solving Fantasy. I can live with it because of how immersive it can be when you don't encounter them. In a way, for me this game is Cozy, a game I can play while listening to podcasts or just to relax and keep my brain active. The Music and the Atmosphere that the game offers is amazing too.
Это не симулятор вора говорили они... но ты конечно же им не верил! плати за медицинскую помощь говорили они... но ты всё равно сбегал через окно которое разбил несколько дней назад и шёл в бар устраивать поножовщину

So this is more of a mixed review. But I will still recommend it because the game can be quite fun and it feels very satisfying when you find the guy and you solve the case correctly and get all the evidence required. Barging in houses, checking PCs, cracking codes, tailing people, finding receipts, checking call logs, it has everything. Also things like black market . And the city, as a procedural generated world, feels very alive : people go to work, go to eat, talk with people around, they call , check e-mails, close shops, there are homeless people, etc. However the main issue is that ... there are a lot of bugs .. and some of the mechanics do not work, and I feel the game misses some features (Like NewGame+, the last "Case" hinted at that) . Some side jobs, while procedurally generated, gives you some very limited info (how am I supposed to find one person with just the handwriting hample....) Once you figure out how and where to look, the game becomes rather easy but I think that's the idea. The more info you know, the more easy it becomes. But I believe it's normal if you understand how and where to look. My suggestion? Pick the game on a sale at least if you are on the fence. If you like detective work, You will enjoy this game a lot. Maybe the developer will come back to this game and add extra stuff that will make the game more interesting (like side jobs that gives you more intel of the main murder case for example)_... and of course fix bugs. But for what it is, the game is worth your time.
I want to love this game, the ideas behind it are great, and at it's best it's a lot of fun, and there's nothing else like it. Unfortunately this game is a technical trainwreck: - The biggest problem is the bugs. This game frequently doesn't work as it's supposed to. Quest items don't spawn (or fall through the level or something), searching for people you already have detailed info on shows no results, you progress through a case only for it to fail to load the next stage, your city generates without a sync clinic, the list goes on. - The evidence that cases start with doesn't seem to be doled out with any consideration as to how useful that evidence is. For example a name, address, or phone number is very useful information, but someone's height or shoe size is not very useful. Sometimes the cases are generated with evidence that is near impossible to follow up on, like someone's build, height, and blood type. - The game does a poor job of communicating how core mechanics work (arrests and briefcases, for example), so don't feel bad about referring back to the forums when things aren't clear. - The performance is awful. On this laptop it's basically unplayable (mostly because the lag causes inputs to get stuck), but even on competent gaming machines there are frequent hiccoughs and stutters. For what the game is, this is surprising and annoying. These are things you would expect to be addressed when moving to a full release, but it seems this game never got past these problems.
This game is addictingly good, While it has downsides that ill get too, ill focus on the things i like about it. The generation, citizens, and system and idea overall is amazing, It is a incredible concept and has been executed wonderfully and when this game starts getting more and more work done i cant fathom what it will look like. The apartments, clues, evidence and etc is all quite realistic and very immersive. I love simply going to random peoples houses, breaking in if they wont let me in, and going through their belongings just to do something while theres nothing going on, Or heck, - even waiting out for a murderer to strike. Now for the downsides, This game is very buggy sometimes, as some people have said. But from my playtime it isnt "unplayable" bad, just that sometimes some things are annoying or odd or immersion breaking. Also, if you expect this to be a game where you can murder aswell, it isnt, atleast yet. I doubt it will be added but the game would break heavily with the ability to murder people as of right now. Anywho, back to the topic i was talking about, Ive noticed that objects randomly dissapear when you break a window with them via throwing, people will teleport through walls when pursuing, (Ive had people clip through the stairs and walls during a stairwell chase. Had one clip into the laundromat at the ground floor, even.) Ive also noticed that sometimes cases can go completely cold or be annoyingly hard to figure out, with the only option being searching fingerprints on every single apartment or hotels door or trying to hunt down everyone in a long, 10 page address book, or even clues glitching and spawning inside objects/walls or just not spawning at all. I have also had "Cleaner" calls where you have to dispose of a body, but all of them have been bugged or cancelled immeditately. The first few i got, enforcers had arrived literally the second after hanging up so it was cancelled then. And then, even after successfully disposing a body, which i assume means throwing it off into the sea (correct me if im wrong) i dont get any response or money from the caller if im remembering correctly. Then again i dont check my bank often, if the money just teleports in it. I also have the problem, although this is a me problem, where this game wastes hours in singlular cases. It is most likely, just a skill issue. but some of my "harder" cases, such as regular murder cases or side cases with not enough evidence (i typically drop these now..) take hours at a time. One case took me 4 hours at most. But personally, i think whoevers read to the end of this should give this game a try. It has its downsides and upsides, but its one of those games where you will either hate it or love it. I would reccomend looking at the plethora of other reviews, discussions, and i would also reccomend just looking at a simple playthrough video of it if your fine with any aspect of the game being spoiled. I had watched a playthrough video (well, less of a playthrough and more of a short little 20 minute video of a stream, they didnt end up finding the murderer in that video but it still gave me info about the game, tbh) and looked at some of the reviews and discussion pages. If you play this game and it isnt your cup of tea, i reccomend refunding it and if you end up liking it but not enough to play it again, id wait to see if the game gets better and your dislikes are fixed or etc.
The game is simply unfinished. There's only been a single very minor patch since they symbolically abandoned the game with the workshop update in January. NPC logic seems to break much more often, the furnishing system somehow broke too, and no matter what you WILL get consistent frame stutters because there is zero optimization. I sincerely do hope either they fix these issues or the community is willing to fix it for them because Shadows of Doubt truly is a fantastic game. There is nothing else that gives you this level of freedom. I've spent so much time in the same city that I've become as familiar with it as I have with Yakuza's Kamurocho. It's a somber experience to walk through the beautifully dull streets to a nearby bar, sit with a Gemsteader beer, and simply enjoy the cozy aspects of the game while waiting for the next murder case. I love this game, but I fear it's no longer a product worth purchasing.
i was in the same apartment when a murder happened and the killer was neither person in the apartment at the time. I hope case generation can be improved in the future, but as it stands, I think it's clear why immersive sims are often tailored and designed and not RNG
♥♥♥♥ you
In my rather short hours of play I can confirm that you are able to commit some rather no good acts which makes me rather delighted FOR EXAMPLE a man at a diner refused his id to me and of course after offering him all the money in the WORLD he still refused so of course I found his home and broke in and attempted to steal all that I could. Overall a solid 4.2 on the evil scale. WOULD recommend for rather no good acts BUT NOT evil.
