Just finished it in 2024. The story and world design are GREAT! The game itself a bit too aged now, but the story compensates it. I really liked it and recommend you all try it even if much time has gone. It will still be an interesting world and a good story.

Should have 100 hours of play with dozens of side missions, but it had a decent storyline and an good gameplay.

If you love turn a based rpg and don't mind reading a little, this game nails it. I used to play the tabletop version back in the 90s and this game stays true to the lore. Really nice to get out of the dark ages, and live the life of a street samurai. It's a nice casual experience and I can hop in and if I get distracted it's ok, it will be there waiting for my next move when my attention returns.

Unfortunately the bar of minimum standards rests solemnly inside our earth's core on the topic of not having microtransactions present in single player RPG titles, and yet some games still manage to slide under it.[/list] 16 hours for my first playthrough. The story had more to it than initially anticipated. I thought I was going to be done at the 8 hour mark. Suffers from the XCOM classic 99% to hit that inevitably misses multiple times in a row, but I suppose a game can't be perfect. It aged like a boiled egg. Which is weird because it gives you the feeling the streets smell like old boiled eggs. Means that for a 54354 years old game, it's pretty good.
Excellent. I never got the opertunity to play the TTRPG, so this series sis the cloesest I've come so far to scratching that itch.
