Another banger from Adolf Games Studio. I don't say that lightly. I don't say anything lightly. I once whispered the word "mayonnaise" too quietly at a Subway in Kraków and the sandwich artist gave me a look that permanently altered my understanding of interpersonal conflict. That was 2011. I still think about it every Tuesday. The sandwich was fine. Medium fine. A six out of ten at best, which is still more than most games released this decade. Adolf Games Studio — those four people working out of what I can only assume is a basement that smells like ambition, instant ramen, and something that died inside a wall about eighteen months ago and was never found — have reached into the chest cavity of the video game medium, removed its still-beating heart with bare hands, replaced it with something substantially better, handed the original heart back with a sticky note reading "you'll want this later, it now has a passive ability called Quad-Dimensional Grief (upgradeable)," and then charged fifteen euros for DLC that unlocks its true form. I bought the DLC. I would buy it again. I would buy it as a gift for people I don't like because I believe it would improve them as human beings and possibly save their marriages. I tried to explain the gameplay to my uncle Ryszard over Easter dinner. He nodded politely for nine minutes, quietly excused himself to "check something in the car," drove home without his coat, and didn't answer his phone for a week. He lives four hours away. His coat is still at my apartment. It has been eight months. We do not speak of the coat. The gameplay shifts genre every forty minutes. You will be managing supply lines across a fictionalized 1940s Europe aggressively colonized by anime aesthetics, and then without warning you are in a rhythm game being judged by spectral arbiters who are each a physical manifestation of a different unresolved childhood anxiety. One of them looks exactly like my secondary school gym teacher Mr. Krzyżanowski, right down to the whistle. I emailed Adolf Games Studio about this. They responded with a single JPEG of a medieval woodcut and the words "we know." I have not slept a full eight hours since. The story involves three timelines colliding over what used to be Vienna. One is historical, one is anime, and one is described by the game as "the one where everything went right," which is, for reasons explained in devastating detail around hour thirty, the most horrifying of the three by a significant margin. The writing in that reveal is the best piece of writing I have encountered in any medium in the last decade. My hands were shaking. I had a dentist appointment that day which I cancelled, and when the receptionist asked why I said "I'm having a personal crisis related to an alternate timeline" and she rescheduled me for Thursday without further comment, which I appreciated. I played the main theme for my father over the phone. He was quiet for a long time. Then he said "this person has seen the face of God and God was not pleased to see them back." My father is a retired electrician from Piotrków Trybunalski who primarily listens to commercial radio. This is the most profound thing he has ever said. I keep it in my wallet. My Bluetooth speaker refused to play one of the boss themes. It just showed a question mark on its LED display and turned off. I connected it to a different device. It turned that one off too. Both have since recovered but the smaller one emits a low tone in the night that doesn't correspond to any notification I've configured. I have stopped investigating this. The game has sixty-nine endings. Eleven made me cry. One soft-locked my Steam account for six hours in a way that Valve's support team described as "not technically possible" and then stopped responding to my ticket. One ending is good. One ending is not the good ending but feels more true. I know which one I'll think about more. The game knows too. kid friendly game
Вот казалось бы: игра - треш-трешович. НО(!) стрельба из автомата сочнее чем во многих AAA проектах с многомиллионными бюджетами...
Gameplay: 8/10 originally I was going to give this a much MUCH lower score, because when you first get dropped into the middle of Russia the controls just feels so ♥♥♥♥, but after the first level you get used to it and I can't lie, this was really really fun. a big tip tho, you can buy upgrades from the vending machines. I didn't realise this until way too late so I did struggle with a few levels but after that it was back to being fun. the weapons are all pretty good tho, however the rocket launcher should have a bigger hit box so I didn't really use it. Story: 7/10 Hitler helps a bunch of anime girls take back their home countries, such as Japan, Russia, Italy and the USA, he's such a kind man. we are also starting to learn some more about Hitler, such as facts like how Italy is his ex girlfriend, one of the missions being to get over her. which doesn't quite go to plan as we do end up tying her up in chains and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ her. but these little details sure make Hitler a much more lovable character. he's so relatable ! I also think he's trans now (woke hitler) as at the end it has a scene of him with giant tits getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥? pop off queen! Sex Scenes: 3/10 your average 2d pictures moving back and forth with ♥♥♥ all over them. nothing too exciting (no guns this time). however hitler at the end was kinda cool. Graphics/Art Quality: 8/10 this game added totally new 3d models for the actual gameplay, however a lot of the anime girls were just reused from the first game. but the menu sure got an upgrade, and the level system showed a cool map of the world to show where Hitler was. it was actually a really nice looking video game menu. Length: 7/10 took me a little over an hour, but I honestly didn't mind as I was having fun. Achievements: 8/10 nice achievements again. not too grindy but added achievements for buying everything which I liked. OVERALL RATING: Average = 7/10 Personal = 8/10
