About

With the dual stick controls, each stick represents one of your feet. You will need to learn how to control them and transfer weight, just like on a real skateboard. The physics have been developed with a focus on realism, smoothness and immersion. Just like in real life for a new skateboarder, the first hours can seem challenging, but once you have mastered the technique, you will feel the unrivalled thrill of pulling off your very first kickflip! Session: Skate Sim also includes full options customisation, so you can enjoy the perfect experience tailored to you. A full tutorial provides all the help you need to get started, and you can choose from four difficulty levels!

Inspired by the golden age of street skating – the 1990s – Session: Skate Sim lets you experience true skateboarding and its culture: no scoring system; just you, your spot and your imagination! There's no need for judges to tell you that your noseslide or varial heelflip are perfect for this spot. And because certain locations are iconic, the developers have added several of them to the game for you to skate in and express your creativity, including Black Hubbas (New York City), Brooklyn banks (New York City), FDR Park (Philadelphia) and many other spots.

Skating and pulling off the best lines in the best spots is one thing, but if no one is there to film it, it didn't really happen… In Session: Skate Sim, you can film with a 1990s filter or fisheye lens, and you can use the video editor to create your clips and share them. You can play with multiple options, including changing the field of view, time of day, filters, and different camera views (tripod, orbit, etc.). Session: Skate Sim also offers the chance to go from skater to filmmaker: pull off your moves then go into film mode to experience the action from the point of view of your camera operator and create the best clip.

Show off your style with an extensive customisation system for your skater and skateboard. By completing challenges, you earn money to spend in skate shops. You can find nearly 200 items (hoodies, shoes, caps, T-shirts, trousers, etc.) from top brands, such as Fallen, Zero, GrindKing, Thankyou, HIJINX Net, Antilanta, Roger Skate CO, No-Comply, iDabble and others. You can also customise your skateboard with over 250 parts, such as wheels, trucks and many other components from famous brands like, No-Comply, GindKing, Thankyou and many others. In addition to the design aspect, the components (trucks, riser pads, wheels…) impact the way you skate. Find the right ones for your style and shred the most iconic spots!

Where to even start.. The vibe is nice, but the animations are very stiff and there isn't any weight to the walking animations. Kicking off with your back against a curb makes you trip and fall. The checkpoint system isn't very intuitive and easily confused with placement and returning to place. Customization options are very limited, the world is stale and the overall implementation of ragdolls and physics is way too sensitive for the experience offered. People keep saying that the tricks in this game are realistic in their controls, but it feels hyper arcade-like to me. So far even the new skate (which has it's own serious issues) seems like a better shout as it implements more game sense and less gimmick-like ragdoll sensitivity. I refunded this game after getting it on a sale because it feels too shallow, barren and unpolished. Almost like it's more a tech demo than a skate sim experience.
To everyone who hopes this might be a better alternative to the new Skate. This is not the game you're looking for.
aqui o flip ta na base
tutorial needs a rework, no visual examples just a text box, just become boring after 15 mins of failing the 'switch manual' despite doing it camera angles need to be improved. movement of the board is just choppy dont pay £35, worth £5 at best lmao
get it on sale, my favorite time waster/ rainy day sanity maintainer
Was really enjoying this game before they messed around with camera settings and the overall look/feel of the game. Now I am finding it unplayable. Additionally, the highest on board camera angle being waist height is not good. Let me decide on my own if thats the angle I like in the replay editor. Also, please add some collision physics that let you push off walls or things you're riding next to, instead of immediately falling off when you brush off a wall for example. Same goes for flatground tricks. You should be able to walk off if you don't land a trick instead of having to do a full reset.
Love this game!! Was a little bit of a learning curve to get used to the double stick controls, but once I got it, it was a walk in the park. Some things are still tricky, but going for a simple line and actually stomping it feels so satisfying, but every attempt is different, so its not a mind numbing feeling of "f**k this." Its not a button mash game, you have to know what you're doing and what trick/line you're trying to attempt, but its not "hard". Skill plays a factor, but not hard like others have made it out to be, certain tricks are harder, just like irl, but saying the entire gameplay is hard... a bit of a reach, get basic tricks down on flat, then you're rocking honestly. Story feels very 90s-00s, but it reminds me of gaming on the PS1 back in the day. Lots of fun to be had, lines to skate. Screw EA, screw "Skate. not Skate 4." Play this instead, well worth the money, especially after the recent update, I just hope with the recent news that support for this game continues.
I don't think my ideal skate sim game will ever come out, that being a realistic skate sim RPG with skate spots dotted across a map like dungeons. Something that captures the growth of actually picking up a board, from first ollie to the dream spot. That game will never exist for some reason. Every skateboarding game is either a half-abandoned Skate clone, made purely for awkward millennial comedy, an arcade style skate game, or Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. On a purely mechanical level, this game is pretty cool. Doing tricks feels like a real effort, and attempting a single spot over and over again is something you would do irl, like climbing a hidden mountain. However, it's JUST flip tricks, manuals, and grind tricks. Done in a very technically deep way, but there are no grab tricks at all. Getting some big air is possible if you really look for it, but it's obviously not built for that. The base map is full of decent spots, but feels really constricting. Overall this game is fine. It's fine. My ideal skateboarding sim will never come out. Ever. This is fine. I'll play it until I feel my $10 were avenged.
