About
As if retail wasn't hell enough...
You're the last poor soul manning a beat-up roadside shop in the middle of the zombie apocalypse. The world's gone to hell, but somehow your "Open" sign still flickers. Between lunatic customers, long shifts, and the occasional undead trying to snag a snack, you're keeping the business alive - barely. Because even in the apocalypse, someone’s gotta work retail.

Part visual novel, part chaotic flash-game shooter, SWAS is a wild ride through survival customer service, and the weird bonds we forge in unexpected circumstances. Blast your way through zombie hordes, slap together last-minute defences, and deal with a rotating cast of desperate, and sometimes deranged regulars.

Every chapter in SWAS cranks up the chaos with wild twists, new characters, and new threats. What starts as a simple shift quickly spirals out of control. Shoot straight. Talk fast. Surely nothing can go wrong. Right?
Visual Novel X FPS - A unique blend of genres to combine story-telling with action!
5 Story-Rich Chapters - Each chapter in SWAS brings a new twist and challenge as the story unfolds.

I finished a full run on Normal in roughly 2.5 hours, closer to 3–4 hours with some extra time, and completed the game 100%. In the end, it left me with a mixed feeling. The game is quite short, which would be fine on its own, but you barely get any time to really connect with the characters. On top of that, the gameplay switches very frequently across the 5 chapters, sometimes abruptly, which makes the overall experience feel a bit unfocused. You start with a bit of base building, which then gets taken away almost immediately. After that, it turns into mostly pure PvE gunplay, followed by base building again — this time with randomized items. The issue is that out of what feels like 10 possible defensive options, you only ever see the same 2–3. Then it goes back to gun action, introduces a small skill tree… which later just disappears. Many systems feel introduced but never fully developed. Replayability is very limited. Sure, you can replay the game on a higher difficulty, and that might be enough for some players, but it didn’t really motivate me. An endless mode or something similar could have helped make better use of the existing systems. The art style and presentation are clearly the game’s strongest points and leave a good impression. Gameplay-wise, though, it doesn’t stay consistently strong. Chapter 5 and the ending, in particular, feel empty and underwhelming. Final Verdict: Overall, a 6/10 — stylish, with some cool ideas, a bit short which is not a bad thing but its to inconsistent and missing real long-term appeal despite the small building mode.
At first glance, this game seems like a ****post. And it probably is, in part, given that it often doesn't take itself seriously, but it's also very well designed. "Service with a Shotgun" has all the important parts of a good game: interesting story, detailed setting, charming characters, good music, satisfying gameplay, etc. It's long enough to be fulfilling, but not so long that it feels like a waste of time. This is an incredible experience that is easily worth the money.
For the price this is a fun little game, it goes where you don't think it goes lol Pick this one up, nice little game!
Este juego es como meter un shooter, zombies, habilidades, defensa de base, toma de decisiones, novela gráfica, buena música y malas decisiones. Me la pasé bien (Como montaña rusa), recomiendo jugarlo sobrio. Y te dan una escopeta.
Great game i love the art style and music so much the story is also really good, and I like how the gameplay switches up in the end of chapter 3 and the end of chapter 4, i think the game did it really well.
Muito bom recomendo bastante a historia não é seu forte mas da um gosto bom na memoria a gameplay faz você ficar atento para não perder dinheiro errando as perguntas 9/10
This is such a charming short game. I did not initially think I would get so invested in all the characters, especially with most of them all using absurdist humor for every punchline, but all the characters are written well. It really added to the whole game when all the characters had so much backstory and growth packed into such a short time frame. The banter really livened up everything all the way to the end. The shooting down zombies in between trying to serve customers and talk with people wasn't too intrusive, but I do think it would have really spiced things up if there were consequences for taking too much time in between each conversation. The music was great and there were a ton of minor little bits of flair sprinkled about too. Great game I had a grand time playing though, and it didn't overstay its welcome.
Really liked the heart and humor service with a shotgun has, all the way to the very end i was in it for the story, love it.
My shotgun was serviced quite nicely. Zombie.
