Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

What ho, traveler. This game rules. It has a really fun combat system and a great ruleset, the story is amazingly fun and the way you interact with the world is fantastic, making a character build feels really thoughtful, a true cross between Fallout 1 and Baldur's Gate. The art and music, too, are truly incredible. Major downside? This game is, unfortunately, very buggy. I lost my progress multiple times. Maybe it's a Linux issue, I'm not sure, but if you feel comfortable and up for it, become Necholai and explore the Staglands.
Great game, great classic vibes, I'm still playing through and I'm having fun learning this game, it can be very challenging.

Ending seems bugged
Octavian accused me of a doing a bunch of evil stuff (slaughtering a town, binding the will of my companions) when I didn't do any of that. And his argument was so stupid: you did bad stuff, so help me commit genocide. And Necholai goes I guess you're right, ok I'll help you. You don't get to make a choice either, which is frustrating. Wish there was the option to say no just to spite Octavian. The game passes him off like he's charming and suave, using persuasion to get what he wants, and when you finally meet him he's such a disappointment
Epic game.
The combat is awful and the graphics style is so ugly it's hard to look at without eye strain.
Если вы прожженный любитель рпг и не чураетесь джанка, то эта игра станет для вас открытием. Разработчики отвергают многие аксиомы жанра и дают взамен что-то по настоящему свежее и захватывающее
Man this game is a disappointment. The art style and lore hold such promise but to play it falls short. While the pixel style is beautiful it also makes it quite difficult to parse through items. Art style is important but it shouldn't be at the expense of functionality. The spell system is interesting with a character needing to channel a spell, making it a risk/reward function however with the way combat works one party member will basically always be healing someone. There look to be some cool spells to try but you'll mostly be using the healing cocoon one. As someone who likes retro style CRPGs and real time with pause combat this combat misses the mark. It's either too repetitive with uninteresting enemies or incredibly frustrating with limited strategic options. Many of the systems are incredibly opaque and make you having to fight against the interface instead of the game itself. With many great and underrated RPGs and CRPGs out there, I would skip this one despite it's great premise.
7.5 hours in, serpent in the staglands is great. It's not quite the same as darklands, in that there is a lot more isometric party based stuff and not really any of the menu based city stuff. It's like a cross between fallout 1&2 and darklands maybe with a little baldurs gate 1 thrown in there. It's more fantasy themed, and less medieval than darklands. Real time with pause. It's awesome. Highly recommend it, all the criticisms are bs from people who are expecting idk what. Every now and then on stair transitions, your screen will be kinda greyed out, like you're looking at a previously explored area you're not in, but if you double click any of your characters it'll snap to them. No big deal. Other than that its bug free so far. For under 5 bucks it's a steal. (Think it's on sale) It'd be a great deal at 40. Sucked me in enough that i stayed up all night playing it accidentally. Awesome game. 10/10. Can't believe 2 people made it. Impressive. It's a love letter to darklands, while still being entirely its own thing. Much closer than wartales, which I enjoyed, but had almost nothing to do with darklands. Run don't walk. Give em a good review. It deserves way higher than 3.2 stars. Had to pry myself away. That's high praise for me. A lot of love went into this game and it deserves some in return.
i really want a hd version, ngl
