I purchased this game after reading a lot of other reviews online and first of all, thank you other reviewers. Second, this game has all of the promise of being neck n neck with MDickie in the Indie Wrestling game market. This game is 100% on the money heading in the right direction, with more moves, the ability to have individual character move sets, a title, tag team matches, I think this would be a real contender, because the foundation is really fun and it's there INHO already. Bravo... glad to support this game and the dev!
This game is utter dogsh!t. EDIT 2/8/2024: The game is improving, I'm glad to see that. The customization, the updates, I'm glad it's getting worked on.
Just picked this up today..omg it's so fun! I'm a CAW maker and this has everything I need in it! (Please don't take anything out lol). The Caw mode alone keeps me playing everyday! The game is still in early access, But its a blast! If I could ask for one thing..Maybe a simple create a belt, and be able to defend them in Exhibition mode!
siempre espere un juego de wrestling con fisicas ragdoll y al fin llegó tiene mucho potencial para ser un GMOD de Wrestling gracias al workshop y a los posibles mods del futuro
This is one of the most entertaining wrestling game with Ragdoll system that I have seen in years, this is a game in development that is currently, July 27, 2024, about to upload one of the 3 free DLC's by supporting the project. A game that has good CAW's created by the community, which at this very moment is small, but strong, they act and write actively in the forums. The fights with more than 12 wrestlers starting are some of the most extreme and fun I have had in a long time in a Pro Wrestling game. I will be giving my honest review of each future DLC, deeply analyzing the gameplay! also im down to help as a tester of the game if possible<3 Totally recommended.
The ragdoll physics in this game is next level! CPW really reminds of Endorphin Wrestling from years ago.
Very impressed with this solo dev effort, great little game. Main thing on my wishlist would be title belts!
I have no idea how this game has so much positive feedback. This is a ridiculously overpriced for an extremely barebones game. Yes, it's early access but there's nothing here to build on. The only good thing I will say is the CAW is pretty comprehensive for an indie game, but that was effort that should've been spent on the core gameplay, which is terrible. I don't understand how you think it's cool to charge £12 for what is essentially a hobby project.
Not in any other game is Chris Chan going to throw Xavier: Renegade Angel to the rope, slingshot him back, then ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kick him off the rope and eliminate him.
Far from your average Wrestling sim, Casual Pro-Wrestling offers a unique twist on the genre by implementing ragdoll physics alongside a Pro-Wrestling theme. Hurl an opponent across the ring and watch them flail aimlessly upon the canvas. Land a crushing Suplex on the apron and sit back while your adversary crumbles over the guard rail in a humorous fashion. Aside from tossing opponents around the mat, Casual Pro-Wrestling also features 1 on 1 match types for the traditional Wrasslin' fanatic. Take on the computer with holds, grapples, attacks and top rope moves all at your disposal. Though, one downside in Casual's gameplay department is the limited match types and moves currently available. Gaming hallmarks such as a 4-man Battle Royale, tag team matches or the sheer mayhem of a 4 man tornado tag Battle Royale have yet to be added. If next gen graphics are a dealbreaker for you, the visuals found in Casual Pro-Wrestling are far from cutting edge. The simple textures and cartoonish caricatures of recognizable grapplers brings to mind early CG graphics found in video game openings from the early 90's such as Tekken (1994) and 3D kids show ReBoot. Without a doubt, Casual Pro-Wrestling's strongest asset is the Steam Workshop. Thanks to the creative abilities of several dedicated players, Casual's Workshop is filled with over one thousand real-life Wrestler likenesses. Everyone from Stone Cold Steve Austin to Giant Baba are faithfully recreated in 3D form and ready to be downloaded. As an early access title currently in development by one solo developer, Casual Pro-Wrestling has a lot going for it, and a lot of tweaks yet to be ironed out. Though, with Casual Pro-Wrestling continuing to receive regular updates, the future looks bright for this grappler.
