Great upgrades such as skill points, improving weapons after the original game
I love serious sam very much but this installment is absolutely horrible. New enemy movement and reaction to players is bad, enemy movement makes rarely sense. An enemy that is almost invulnerable from the front spawns in slim corridors where you can't properly evade him and shoot him from behind. On one part of the first level you could drop like 3 meters do another area but since the level designers were extremely lazy and if you jump down you die after half a meter on other places you can fall like 10 meters and all is fine. Old enemies in this installment are having things like projectile movement changed drastically and not for the better. They also tried to mimic the doom finishers but the way they do it makes you teleport around and sometimes turns you and the enemy to a random angle so you lose overview of where you are and of course get hit easily because of that. The game also misses the mark of the classic serious sams where hard encounters always finished with topping you up or at least get you to a level that you can properly advance. This game doesn't and seems to rely mostly on you taking the "loot" perk which seems to be highly underwhelming as the drops are so tiny that they don't really matter too much. 5 health here, 4 shotgun bullets there, bigger enemies can spurt out some more. Also enemy attack timing is extremely bad. In the original games enemies had real attack animations and stopped for some attacks so that even if you're swarmed there was always a way and timing to properly react. here they just move into you keep attack without stopping breaking or anything. I am really highly disappointed

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is more of Serious Sam 4 but while many people praise this expansion, to me SS4 was better. To me this feels much more cramped experience since they want to fit everything into the 5h campaign I guess. Encounters and combat is better, it has much more TFE feel, also playing on "hard" feels as default setting and the best experience compared to TFE. I think both deserve your time
The cons: its short, which means it was enjoyable enough that more would would be good; though if it was twice as long (to be normal game length) it would cost 3 times as much (to be normal game price) so still a good deal. Pros: firstly the game engine looks just as good as any other modern game that i waited to rebuild my gaming rig before playing! Framerate is really solid - their engine seems to have less microstutter than many AAA titles i have seen recently at the same resolution & max quality settings. Despite the modernization (optional side-missions rather than a hidden bonus +1 health as an enemy trigger) It still has serious sam's humor, voice, and gameplay feel.
After playing all (mainline) Serious Sam games I can tell you one absolute truth... Croteam really, really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ likes Kleers, but I don't.
This is this best looking SAM game i've ever played. i love the series, and really hope they make a 5th one! shatter verse playtest was amazing!
