I played this game once when I was a teenager during quarantine, and again recently- now a young adult. It stuck with me the way your actions and thoughts don't seem meaningless, and all put together say something. I hope to play it again at some point- maybe years in the future again. I'm curious how it would change for me. While I absolutely recommend this game, it does feel clunky, empty, and confusing at times. However, if you can look past that, it's an earnest and interesting experience I enjoyed, and had to sit and think about afterwards.

This is one of the best games i have ever played
This is exactly the kind of game I'm looking for recently and has a similar message to other things in my life. The game can be a bit clunky at times but it's beautiful and meaningful.
If you're hoping for a walking sim adventure through some liminal spaces, instead you're getting some sort of therapy session that i didnt ask for.
it felt like a philosophy lecture not a game. far too many instances of being forced to stand in one place and listen to far too much dialogue.
This is an interesting philosophical and psychological experience. I definitely liked it for that and for the nice Vaporwave vibes. I think the individual circuits have the same issues as most psychometric tests or evaluations (e.g. closed questions that might not offer a response that feels right for you and that the whole design seems to rely on a preexisting framework or model that can not be challenged by the test itself). But I can't even imagine how those issues could be handled differently in a game... Maybe today using LLMs to allow for open questions / open answers and analyze them differently... Anyhow - I think the game is great and definitely worth checking out. Thanks to anyone involved!
Not as deep as you think, Not as simple as it appears. Confused? Good, that's what you feel for 99% of this game and that's okay. Simple premise, explore a mall, and complete the basic tasks asked of you by voices in the sky (mall speakers or your subconscious?) This game does start off teasing creepy atmosphere, but once you get into the meat of the existential simulator it's a relaxed, casual experience, with easy going music, and some okay areas to look at. Swinging in a barren parking lot, exploring an unnerving laundry mat, or lounging poolside in an undisclosed vaporwave spa were my highlights. There really is not much to this game, but if you've ever wanted to spend a confusing amount of time questioning nothing and everything (it's only as deep as you make it) in an empty mall then Self-Checkout Unlimited may be for you. Já tinha um tempão que eu queria pegar esse jogo, era exatamente o que eu queria, um walking simulator no estilo vaporwave Só que esse jogo foi MUITO além, pena que não deu pra jogar no ultra e aproveitar melhor cada segundo "The map is not the territory"
